***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 3 new videos every week! Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!
We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

I’m an AI tech too and specialize in breeding homestead cows. Have all sorts of bulls in my tank. $45 for the farm call plus the value of the straw. Did blood draws for pregnancy checks and Lute for polycystic ovaries and bringing on heat cycles. My services are very helpful for breeders who only have one or two cows. I’m much cheaper than keeping a bull and safer too.

Let Hope be, she’s already being over milked as it is. Don’t over slaughter, there’s ways just as mysterious as a found dead turkey ghost.

Well guys, you really had me concerned with that title! Glad to hear that Hope is okay and it was only a hiccup in the breeding process, and not some kind of grave issue. Hope this procedure works out well for you. Strange that you had such a hard time in the middle of cattle/cow country. Reminds me of the time that a friend got bit by a sidewinder in Los Vegas Nevada, and had a hard time getting treated for it! You would have thought that there would have been any number of doctors available to treat a snake bite .... not so. Take care.

While production was less than in the garden, we only watered about 10 times by throwing a bucket of pond water on them, no weeding.... they just grew writhin the pasture grass. I am going to expand my gardening out there next year. It was a great backup after the zucchini bugs ravaged my garden plants and a wonderful fall harvest of butternuts.

Very interesting. Years ago my husband and I raised cattle, we started out w just 3 but grew our herd to 23. We had just 25 acres but I can truly say the best tone of our life’s and joy for our kids were when. Our”girls” were carrying babies and then calving, over the years we had many babies but the thrill of watching them be born and then bouncing around the field like they did was a joy! We never lost a single baby or cow. Have to say I didn’t like having to butcher the Steers but it was part of the program of raising animal’s. Your joy is infectious , just wait you guys!

You can actually use the home tests for people too. Same hormone. Did it on the dairy I used to work at & it had about the same rate of accuracy as it did in humans.

No it will not have any impact. We made sure to ask about that. It’s the same hormone and amount of hormone that she would produce naturally when in heat.
