I have social anxiety, so even doing the easiest things is a challenge for me. Like going outside alone or into a store, talking to strangers, making a phone call, even posting comments like this somewhere - literally everything. And even though I'm only 17, I feel like the time's running, I have wasted so much time with thinking, being nervous and worrying about the smallest things, letting it influence my life. So the first thing on my bucket list is learning to deal with it, getting more and more confident with myself, so that the anxiety won't stop me from living my life. And I believe that I'm getting closer to that goal somehow, everything that comes after that is something I can do, no matter which goal I'll have, I'll be confident enough to achieve it. Thank you for this video, I kinda feel motivated to move on :)

Quit social media, make a new healthy routine, do the stuff u want to do. I did it. I had anxiety. It was hard because I was addicted to social media but be patient and quit slowly. It was really hard for me because I changed my whole entire life but now I’m so happy. I’m happy because I did some achievements. And I’m really thankful for that. ❤️

Listening to this.... so true, however I look back and have already done soo much. By 25 I had done everything I set out to do. After that I continued travelling the world, and began to slowly set new goals .....married and had three children. Children currently still in school. At 39 I resigned to start my own business. My main goals for the next few years are to continuing raising my children into responsible adults and give them educational opportunities so they can live their own life and give them opportunities. We also give time to our community. I also teach and this is very fulfilling helping people and motivating them to be the best they can be. Dream big!

This isn't exactly related to the video, but I wanted to share it. I saw a tedtalk on the saying "Live each day as if it's your last", and how living by that might actually just ruin your life, get you to act irresponsibly and hedonistically, and even make you feel hopeless and depressed. I know that I personally felt a lot more like this, than feeling motivated to live my best life. She then said that a better and healthier mindset was to "Live each day as if it's your first", imagining that today is the first day of your life of endless opportunities and possibilities, that you have all the power to design your life however you want, starting now. For me, this mindset makes me feel so much more motivated and enthusiastic, and like I can do anything.

Doing whatever works best for you is most important. But there's one thing I will say; when you find yourself really confronted by the prospect of very limited time in this existence, rather than just trying to imagine it, I think you will value what remains too much to act irresponsibly or hedonistically, or to squander it feeling hopeless or depressed. Every minute will matter far too much for that.

Lately I've been watching videos about life and finance. One thing that sticks to my head is that "when you're young, you can do anything, you have very little risk, you can risk everything bc that's not much to start with, and you have no family to support". It's a good thought and it's true. I love it. But you need to know that you still have to be responsible for everything you do.

The fact that I'm going to die has the opposite effect on me. If I'm "lucky" I'll live until I'm 80; the Earth is billions of years old; we don't exist for billions of years then we live for 80, if we're lucky, then we don't exist for billions more years. I feel like, "what does it matter how I live my pointless 80 years?" If I travel or not, if I get a better paid job, if I have kids. When you really think deeply about it, about the enormity of the universe, and our insignificanct place in it; nothing really matters at all. Anyway just thought I'd bring some joy and positivity to the discussion. 😁

I have lots of dreams, lots of wishes, and lots of things I want to do, but the one thing I always come back to is my dream of seeing the stars. It's a simple, seemingly pointless dream that I myself don't know why I dream of it or why it's so important to me, but what I do know is that I picture myself somewhere in Iceland or Norway with the northern lights and thousands of stars where I can admire the beauty of our planet in peace. It doesn't have to be a location as picturesque as Iceland or Norway or Scandinavia as a whole, but I do admire all of these places and they hold a special place in my heart. Again, I have no idea why this is so important to me or why I love Scandinavia so much but I want to go there someday after all this Covid craziness is over. Fingers crossed that I can check it off my bucket list one day :)

One of the most important things people can do is step back from their ego, seeing life as it really is. I recently dropped out of school to figure out my life and have started a KZread channel based around finance. It took me months of just sitting at my computer before I started anything. I was just filled with anxiety and couldn't get out of my rut. I was worried about what my friends and family would think, what if I failed, would I look like a failure? I didn't know. But because of people like you, Matt, that I actually decided to say fuck it and start. Since starting I have felt magnitudes happier and actually have purpose throughout my day. If we ALL have two lives, but just the ones who REALIZE are able to start the second one, that means that people who don´t realize don´t have the second live, and therefore, not all the people have two lives, contradicting the first statement. Thank you for making this video. I work as a nurse and I have a little family I look after. I've always wanted to learn about photography and videography but "life" always gets in the way. Last year I started making youtube videos. I was incredibly nervous and embarrassed and didn't even showed my face during my first few videos. My husband knows about it and is very supportive, but I don't even have the courage to tell my parents and other families just yet. I definitely have goals as part of my bucket list for my channel. This has given me a different perspective. What an amazing, timely video. Thank you for sharing it to us.

I set up a project for myself that would, theoretically, help me towards my dream career but I've been working on it all day and suddenly got this crippling anxiety that this isn't the best way to do it, that this "start up" could take gods know how long and that there's so much more to it than what I'm doing, that I have no idea what I'm doing, I just know that it's a lot more complex than what I know of and a ton of other doubts that had me surfing youtube in an attempt to ease my anxiety instead of persevering but this short, 47 second clip has me feeling motivated again. *Thank you.*

(Review notes about the video. Please, watch the video if you haven't because it is extraordinary) *How to create and accomplish your bucket list:* 1. Forget everything you know about bucket lists. - It is not just about adventures. There are 12 categories of life. Adventures is one of them. - There are no rules. It just needs to be important to you. Big or small. 2. Write it down. - Writing makes it real. - You are thus accountable to yourself. - If you write it down, you are 42% more likely to achieve it. 3. Share it with others - Talk about things that are important to your friends and family - Remember that you can help others as well as be helped by taking action on your dreams. 2. Seek people that could give you the best advice on achieving the item desired. - Show how it is the most important thing in your life right now and ask for help. 3. Establish what is top-priority on your list and work on it. - Pretend there is a genie that pops up and offers to help you accomplish one item in your list if you never could work on the other ones anymore. - Focus on that one thing. Key Ideas: - "We avoid risks in life so we can make it safely to death" (from one comment here :) ) - "Just picture yourself on your death bed. Looking back at this moment and will your future self regret not doing it? And if yes then you have to do it." - We need help from other people to accomplish items on our list. - Most people on their death beds regret things that they did not do instead of what they actually did. Resultant mindset: I can do anything I want. It is only a matter if I want to do it. Yes, it will take a lot of work to accomplish it. But *I can.* Thus, think: what is important to you? Fundamental Poem: But often, in the world's most crowded streets, But often, in the din of strife, There rises an unspeakable desire After the knowledge of our buried life; Good Luck :)

I was on track meeting all my dreams. I fulfilled my dream to become an attorney. After that, raising kids, after that everything was less terrifying. Those things, career and family, came easy. The others weren’t really important, but just bucket items. I was 48 when I started doing really fun stuff, because by then my kids could join me. It turns out was was riskier and more adventurous than a teenage. Extreme waterslide rides, tree climbing, zip lining, hiking, boating, eating individual mini pies at the edge of the California in Big Sur, visit points of interest. My kids couldn’t keep up with me, and I drove to all these places! I hope I inspired them in their futures to do the same. It all ended when the scumdemic hit! Ugh 😫. This video reminds me of how stuck we are during these trying times. I still need to white water rafting, camp in Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, the monuments were tore down as my husband and I were planning a vacay for our adult children to visit patriotic points of interest. It’s so disappointing!
