Lol he assumed that he was alleged to have done the murder with his sister and parents yet the affidavit was referring to the three already in jail for Dan's murder. Why would his subconscious think that? Also it's genius to plant the seed in Charlie's head about Wendy and if his sister "appreciated" what he did for her and to make him realise that he was a) not the favoured child between the two b) quickly named by Wendy as a possible suspect and c) just the fall guy for his sister and mother's ulterior motives. Charlie was happy to buy little gifts all the time for Katie since he thought that that would convince a juror some day that he thought she was a poor struggling mother and he could say that he thought all the money was being transferred straight to the "extortionist". But the problem is, he is so adamant that Katie and Sigmundo must call the Bump number on his and Donna's behalf, and they are obviously Charlie's underlings taking his orders. The only reason Charlie and Donna called in the end is because the police knew not to pick up when a call came from Katie or from Sigmundo, so they couldn't get through to the bump-men, and finally Charlie and Donna had to call themselves.

But Charlie did supposedly know that Sigmund and Louis were "using a naive, helpless Katy as a gopher to extort him". Yet on the recordings Charlie never uses the word "extortion" in reference to the earlier Markel murder extortion", an "extortion" that cost him a couple hundred thousand. He only uses that word in reference to the Latin Kings maybe trying to extort him "for the second extortion" for only $5k. Then after he is in jail, he talks about extortion all the time. And then suddenly 130 times he utters that word "extortion" in regards to Sigmundo in the couple hours of testimony, but only cuz he got caught and arrested for hiring the hit men.

I think many people expected a theatrical performance by Georgia, and what you received was a prosecutor who doesn’t need to be theatrical in order to be effective. She’s strategic and methodical. She caught him in lies, let him ramble on - because the more Charlie spoke, the more unbelievable it sounds, and she asked questions that were relevant. This jury is extremely smart. I truly think Georgia did a wonderful job, and I’m confident a guilty verdict will be reached!

How would they know anything about Dan, and what would make them believe that they would be able to successfully extort money from Charlie by killing Dan? Like, how do they know Charlie wouldn't go straight to the cops instead of paying them? Who benefitted from Dan's death? Seems only the Adelson family benefits. The defense is claiming that KM was privy to CA wanting to pay one third of a million dollars to Dan Markel to allow WA to move to Miami, they are saying KM was listening to this on a constant basis and because CA was constantly making the joke about "I would have hired a hitman but a TV was cheaper" KM felt that if she had DM killed and everyone knew CA was constantly repeating that joke it would be a piece of cake to frame him for murder, because she already believed he had that amount of money in his safe, so she cooked up a get rich quick/murder scheme to put that plan in action. I know that there's a lot of "Well how does this explain this and that's" but it truly is a defense that insulates the entire family. KM on the other hand did nothing to insult herself or her family. She never put together an "In case this thing goes south" plan. She could have saved "What's App" messages, she could have secretly recorded CA talking about the murder then while he is talking about it say something to the effect "I don't believe anyone has the right to kill another person" but she did absolutely nothing. All she wants is to be able to say she has nothing to do with this and then go home and it don't work that way.

I think it's not a good idea to make the accusations that Charlie makes against Latin Kings, it's not good to make a gang angry. He accuses the Latin Kings knowing that it is a lie, if I were Charlie and I walked away free from this I would have to watch my back because they would come for me, not to extort me but to kill me. I hope they find him guilty and give him a life sentence, with no chance of ever getting out.

If he is found not guilty on the 1st degree murder charge it would be in his best interest to coordinate an immediate name change/ID while he has access to his lawyer, move far far away from FL, never speak of any of this ever again, change his looks a bit (i.e. colored contacts, change the hairline, nose job) he needs to change entirely who he is.

It would make far more sense to say 'They tried to extort me, but I didn't pay. So they tried to kill my sister, but killed the husband because the opportunity arose. So then I started paying and was terrified."

I dont think his lawyer did an ok job in the stand, but he was not excellent. So I thought the prosecution was going to eat his client alive, but she didnt. I was expecting a lot more from the prosecutor. I thought she was going to grill him, but she seemed to me she was just frustrated. She didnt make enough key point questions. This was like a high school debate.

HIs lawyer did a great job!! That's why there might be reasonable doubt with some jurors. Charlie completely turned this story around and some people are beleiving it. Because of his lawyer. IMO

Did anyone think game over when he boldly said I'll pay if someone comes for my family. Did he really say that? So he expects the jury to believe he didn't do it to begin with. And to believe he got "extorted " that if he's out that is rational belief to live. Astonishing! I just can't 😮
