I worked door Corp on the weekends for our waffle house when I was 15, about 22 years ago. Opened doors, got coffee, Bussed tables, etc. Other waffle houses in our area didn't have it though.

I’ve been to Waffle Houses in at least 5 states in the southeast US. I saw a Door Corpsperson once. I was so anxious about the thought of her walking behind the counter, lest the entire staff jump her and drag her into a back room for a beating, that I couldn’t enjoy my food. NEVER GO BEHIND THE COUNTER.

The wait staff isn't tatted up enough.

As Jim Gaffigan says, "never been to a waffle house? Just picture a gas station bathroom that serves waffles"

If I was getting this job I'd hate this video, but sitting at home stoned, well lets just say I'm on my third video taking mental notes and smiling. Also at our waffle house our door greeters are called bouncers and the coffee bar over by the bathrooms holds the mop bucket and yellow slip and fall sign.

Uhm… where are the drunks nodding out at the table? The crackhead in the parking lot trying to sell you a broken cassette tape player? The server with jail house tattoos saying “I love Clem ❤?” Waffle House is gritty my friend… embrace it.

I’m supposed to be watching corporate videos for a new job I was hired at, but instead I’m watching this.

I guess I’ve seen this on a Sunday randomly on occasion during breakfast. I always thought it was the regional manager checking things out and helping bc it was busy. Never had a clue they had a door corps,… ummm but a coffee bar? No.

So this was back when Waffle House was still trying to compete with IHOP before they gave up & went full Battle Royale seating.

They need to update their training video. I work there and was sent to MMA training camp followed by hostage negotiation classes.

I'll never forget when I was young, my mother, a waitress her entire life and worked at WH for years, needed a job because we were a military family and moved a lot. One day, after a recent move, I was about 9. We went to a WH, I got a waffle, and she went behind the counter without saying a word to anyone and started taking orders and refilling coffee, calling them out perfectly. She got the job immediately.

Aahhh.. back before the nightly fights and downsizing.

As a long time WH customer (45 yrs), who eats there at all hours, though mostly later than 1:30 am, I've never encountered the "Door Corp". I've eaten at WH restaurants throughout the entire Southern US. My favorite thing about the WH experience was playing Waffle House songs on the jukebox.

Last time I went to a WH, they no longer had the steak and eggs breakfast on the menu. That was my favorite.

I'm a door Corp at my waffle house and including can smile but have to wear A Mask 😷 due to coronavirus but how much do you Actually get paid

I sure wish Waffle House was west of the Rockies. I've never been disappointed, and I've visited ones in Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri while on business trips.

I moved to the west coast as an adult, and I still think about Waffle House all of the time. Hanging out next to the cook and wait staff was the best, especially after a late night. Sometimes I’d play Magic: the Gathering with friends until like 3 in the morning, as we kept ordering food all night. I miss those times and the food.

I've been to a Waffle House. There was NO ONE at the "Door". Girl, I had sit down and almost pour the coffee myself.

This my favorite breakfast place unfortunately I live in. Minnesota so we don't have them but when I travel where there are Waffle houses eating there is a must everything and everywhere I have had a super experience with super friendly staff that have been there for many years.if people are treated with respect they will remain as loyal employees this shows that job satisfaction is more important than salary.

Bruh this is the most consistent restaurant chain in America. You see the memes and the videos online of fights. But the food slaps. It’s always there for you. Yeah folks can be rough sometimes. But a chocolate chip waffle and bacon can cure most known diseases no cap
