Amazing and beautiful stuff from Weta. At least you guys carried your weight for the show and delivered on where you could.
You all never fail to amaze with your artistry! 👏👏👏

too bad Rings of Power is pure fail though.
I am absolutely in AWE of the incredible work that Weta does; the love and detail work that goes into every piece they make is simply breathtaking.💖💖💖
I wish they had hired showrunners, writers and actors half as talented as the Weta guys here, always great with your figures and props

They did. Then after Christopher Tolkien, who always protected his and his father's work and had veto power over the way they were used, died, they fired everyone and started over.
Before hate starts pouring out again, whether justified or not, just enjoy the video and rejoice in the fact that while there may have been weaknesses within the series, Weta Workshop's work wasn't one of them. There is just as much love behind the weapons, props and locations as there was with the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings parts.

Numenor's armor clearly looks like patterned cloth. That's why I didn't think it was the work of the same Weta who brought the original Peter Jackson trilogy.

Weaknesses? It was complete garbage. Even they admitted they don't give a sht about Tolkien's writing. Stop trying to sugar coat it.

Free speech on all matters is essential and does not necessarily translate to hate.
The axe of Tuor even has scorch marks, probably from fighting dragons and Balrogs at the Fall of Gondolin. Fantastic details! Hope you release more videoes like these where you go into detail about the designs.
Thanks for sharing this behind the scene footage, it is always great seeing how your team creates things.
All of the engraving is so gorgeous!
Please please release merch! I find the show very good and wish I could purchase weta helms, environments, etc. that immortalize it.
Absolutely amazing. I can't even express myself properly. The work weta does is beyond incredible. We are so lucky we can see it.
Absolutely phenomenal work, this would be a dream to have this team make one of these pieces for me 😮. Such beautiful craftsmanship! ❤
Im pretty sure I didnt see half of these props used on screen. Was so dissapointed with the Moria dwarf guards design of the axes and masks.
Fantastic craftsmanship. Truly beautiful works of art.
Beautiful work, really makes the world come alive. Thank you, and looking forward to much more!
Amazing - hopefully get to see some of the armours being made in detail. Wonderful.
Amazing ❤❤❤
As always, majestic work!
Stunning!
Incredible work once again 👏🏼
Damn. All I want is to be able to work on projects such as this with Weta one day! :)
Spectacular as always
perfection.
I would like to work there!
ADAR'S SWORD AND DAGGER🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Loved the series. Well done, weta!

@@fvkijay that's fair enough. I can respect people enjoying it. I personally thought the writing was abysmal. The changing of the lore and the characters Tolkien wrote was nothing short of embarrassing and disrespectful. Just my opinion though

@@TheWartechgaming Yeah, I'm not too picky about how authentic it was to Tolkien so it really didn't bother me. Cheers!

I think it's indeed supposed to be Narsil!
Would watch a whole fucking series of this like Man at Arms... but just Weta going complete boss mode.
Amazing job on an incredible series! Pumped for season 2 😍
Weta are INCREDIBLY talented. Their skills are amazing and I love all their LOTR/Hobbit statues :) It's a shame Amazon went out of their way to ruin what should have been the biggest series ever made. If woke fools hadn't been put in charge, I would have added anything they made to my collection.... but I will unfortunately be sticking to ANYTHING Weta makes for LOTR and Hobbit... although.... I gotta say... War of the Rohirrim may be a GREAT work as well... I'm looking forward to getting Helms Deep when it's released :)
The work that Weta does is amazing, what a shame that, in this case, it was for such a god awful series.
Amazing work, just beautiful. Shame that it's for Amazon and the horrible job they did. Truly sad.
NNOOOOOO! Not the Strings of powder !
"Rings of Prime" (intended) is ... let's just say- so much worse than both of Peter Jackson's trilogies, BUT it is always a delight to get to see Weta's work!
I commend the hard work and dedication of the Weta team but, The abomination that was the end televised product must be cast into the fires of Mt Doom
The work y’all did was great however the show was terrible
Rings of Power 😂
I'm sorry, but the weapons in the Rings of Power series look too fake compared to Peter Jackson's original trilogy.

Don't forget that Weta simply created the vision of artists such as Alan Lee and John Howe. They were not involved in designing the Rings of Power which is why it looks so different.
@lordnerdracula

@@LordOfTheVOGELS I know, that's why I say the difference. It is the same Weta that does the pre-production of both works, and in the trilogy it looks more real and immersive.

@@LordOfTheVOGELS John Howe was involved in Rings of Power, his handwriting is all over the designs.
Awesome props. Trash show
Well you did your part I guess…and got your Amazon money. Can’t blame you for that. It’s unfortunate that your beautiful props are used in such a abysmal Tolkien fan-fiction.
The rings of power is not a return to anything. Your art & craftsmanship is far too good to be associated with that abomination. Read the books and rewatch the films instead people!
What a waste of amazing work on this hack of a series.😢
What a waste of mastery with an utter rubbish of a product called The Rings of Power.
Your superb work is wasted on this terrible show 😔
You do know that Amazon was not friendly to the lore right? I hope they finally cancel this abomination soon
Beautiful work as always👏👏👏, proof that people saying Everything about rop is terrible are just talking outta their ass.

Lots of people said Weta designs were the only good thing. That's quite common.
This is simply great! It would be amazing to hear you talking through your designs and showing the making of the swords and armor.
