11:35 Get the complete list above!
Let’s talk about the interesting relationship between vitamin D and cortisol.
When you’re under chronic stress, vitamin D is less absorbed in your gut.
The building block for vitamin D is the same building block for cortisol. That building block is cholesterol. But, when you go through stress, your cholesterol is used to build more cortisol than vitamin D.
However, you need plenty of vitamin D when you go through stress. Many people aren’t getting the vitamin D they need. The more stress someone has, the more vitamin D they need.
In my opinion, the solution isn’t just increasing vitamin D but also cholesterol-making sure you have plenty of fat in your diet.
The best ways to balance vitamin D and cortisol:
1. Get more vitamin D
2. Get plenty of magnesium
3. Consume more zinc
4. Take adaptogens
5. Exercise
6. Get quality sleep
7. Consume sea salt
8. Get more sun
9. Consume vitamin B1
10. Take AHCC before bed

Takeaways: 1. When higher the stress, lesser the Vitamin D. 2. Cortisol and Vitamin D is made of cholesterol. Vitamin D is more of a hormone than Vitamin. 3. So High stress, Low Vitamin D . 4. Stress leads to AutoImmune diseases. Just to note, Cortisol is stress hormone. It paralyses immune system (indirectly Anti inflammatory also less ) and reduces white blood cells. 5. Prednisone.. synthetic form of cortisol since cortisol is a anti inflammatory. 6. Cortisol is also have cortisol resistance. 7. Generally, Vitamin D is recommended for anti inflammatory and to treat autoimmune diseases 8. Generally RDA for Vitamin D is 600 iu. But for more benefits like anti-inflammatory and if you consider absorption rate and absorption barriers, older age, brown skin so we can take 10 to 50 thousand iu. 9. Generally a person has high cortisol and low vitamin D. 10. Cortisol and Vitamin D is inversely proportional. So taking vitamin d can reduce stress. 11. Cholesterol is important for producing Vitamin D or cortisol. 12. For balancing cortisol with Vitamin D: a. Sun light, Fish oil, supplements of 10000 iu is better. b. Magnesium can also reduce stress means cortisol. Indirectly help vitamin D. Magnesium Glycinate is better. c. Zinc, Magnesium helps in Vitamin D absorption. d. Exercises , sleep. Don't do over exercise. e. Note: All above like Vitamin D, Sun light, exercises, Mg, Zn helps in sleep as well. f. Vitamin B1, Salt. Note: Vitamin B1 and refined carbs are inversely proportional.

🧐I Take the hormone D3 with K2 MK7, Magnesium Bisglycinate, zinc, vitamin C and unfortified Nutritional Yeast with my meals. Also take a few other vitamins and well know other supplements. 🌀Vitamin D is actually a hormone rather than a vitamin; it is required to absorb calcium and phosphate from the gut into the bloodstream.

If more people understood the power of Vitamin D, Magnesium, Insulin Resistance and Fasting these concepts could save so many lives. Yes there are other supplements that have to be considered but the 4 topics above are the building blocks that can remove all inflammation in the body. I get blood work done frequently and I mega dose Vitamin D and confirmed that my calcium levels have not spiked. My threshold of stress has increased, I don’t crave sugars, my body can excrete water weight better and my mood is through the roof. My prayer is that everyone learns the 4 topics I listed above it might save your life🙏🏽

Dr. Berg, in your list I would place Sun as number 1 and it is still free to take yet there are several conditions to consider: when to take the sunshine, how long, do not use sunscreen, use a moisturizer for the skin, do not wash the skin with soap after taking the sun, etc...Perhaps, you already have a video about it if not it would be helpful to make it. Thank you!.

He’s made tons of videos on vitamin d from the sun. It’s just many people can’t absorb much of it, despite not using sunscreen, ect. Partly because of stress, diabetes, ect, ect. So those people and they are many need to find other ways of absorption.

I can't speak for Dr. Berg. I also have no experience with these issues. However, have you tried mega dosing Vitamins D, C, B1? Secondly, have you tried going on the healthy version of the Ketogenic Diet, or the Carnivore Diet? Third, are you able to increase the amount of daily stretching and weightless exercise? Fourth, have you tried higher daily doses of Potassium and Magnesium Glycinate? Fifth, have you tried Dandelion as a supplement for you kidneys?

Great video as usual. We all have a story or two. But I developed Polymyalgia rheumatica in Oct/2019 and was a 49 yr old healthy, fit(former pro athlete). It was absolutely debilitating as your immune system attacks itself, everywhere. Prior to getting this, I was going through the most stressful period of my life(sometimes things are unavoidable in life but it did take its toll). My rheumatologist who was a life saver told me I was on the extreme young end of this autoimmune condition and it's unknown what causes it. I told her my guess was prolonged extreme stress. Anyway, I recovered as the treatment is rather simple, just a steroid taken over 1-2 yrs.
