Are you sure that's an OG 1968 press of The Golden Dawn? The median on that is $500. It may be the 1978 repress, or even a boot.

It’s funny you brought this up. When I was putting the records away I realized The Golden Dawn was not an original. It is a 2008 reissue. I just upgraded my Racket Squad and must have been thinking about that. I know Corners Of Your Mind doesn’t top anyones psych albums list but I think side one is great. Do you recall what reissue of CA Quintet is supposed to be noisy.

There was a bad pressing run on the 2016 gold vinyl pressings, many were noisy. I got a good replacement copy from Sundazed. It was like pulling teeth though! Now people are saying the Hell Fire red pressing is the same way. There are a few people on discogs that say their copy was fine. If your copy sounds good, you are lucky.@@vinylrichie007

Been meaning to pick up that TV Repairmann, I've listened to it and really like it. CH Quintet is fantastic, a true psych gem. Cool you got an original of the Golden Dawn, I have a reissue. You're right, they do sound similar to the Elevators. I'm going to check out that Post Humourous Relief LP, sounds interesting. Thanks for showing your latest haul.

Hey Richie. Give that power plant lp a good cleaning through an ultrasonic machine. That should get rid of most of that crackle.

The 2016 gold vinyl pressings are the copies that sounded noisy. I returned my bad copy to Sundazed, they didn't even know that it was a bad run, till I told them about it. They found that many were noisy after opening and playing a big stack of LPs. The Hell Fire red copies are also bad! The guys on discogs say either it's a bad noisy pressing, or their copy is fine. Hard to believe it happened again!

I describe The Libertines as "Lo-Fi Brit Pop Punk (or Garage Rock) When their first 2 CD's came out back in the day here in Canada we had special editions versions with a bonus DVD with live performances & videos. Did the US version have the DVD's? And yes Pete dated Johnny Depp's worn out hole Kate Moss.

I think the 2nd issue of the Libertine CDs came with a DVD. Kate Moss got around.

Great video Pat, also a superb summary of The Libertines - one of the best bands to come out of England. Pete and Carl have such a great chemistry together, going to see them live again this year - a new album is coming out soon. Those psych albums sound interesting, thanks for showing them.

Carl Barat from Libertines formed a band called The Jackals after the break up. Sample it, phenomenal stuff. Babyshambles are very good too. I haven't been to a store in a couple weeks, maybe I'll head out today.

Up The Bracket is a class album… packed with great songs! Pete was jailed for a bit after robbing Carl Barât’s (the other singer) flat. Yep, Doherty was seeing Kate Moss for a while. He’s left the uk now and living the quiet life in France (after being embroiled in a murder enquiry). His solo stuff is worth checking out too. Ooooft! Trip Thru Hell is a beauty… need to get a copy of that myself!!!

A good find video.. the golden dawn is great but that opening sound effects is cheesey. I have the white label promo of it on International Artists.. super clean.. one of the top items of my collection for sure. I love that CA Quintet LP, I play it often.. I would love an original but to pricey.

Some great albums there, I had to stop the video and stream the Bloodstains, wow, that was great but impossible to get over here. You should have bought two :) Another paus and a stream of Post-humorous, very interesting music, very old but still new. Third Paus with the Game, agree it's very fast but very good, melodic in its haste, and the second language is Polish. Cheers for all the recommendations, happy spinning!

oh man....that Libertines record's a good one! I have the first Babyshambles record - I showed it a couple years ago for some reason. Powerplant record looks great - I've never heard of it before. Are you sure that singer for Game speaks/sings Hungarian flawlessly? lol I don't think I'd notice if Hungarian was sung with a German accent, for instance. I understand what you're saying about the lyric size poster sheet. Who's going to bother with that? But I'm always glad to get just about anything they want to throw in. I'd probably only bother with the lyric sheet if there was just one line or a couple words that I really couldn't figure out. But even then it's probably easier to just look it up online. lol Rock on Vinyl Richie!

One day I’ll find a good copy of the Canned Heat debut but I must say Trip Thru Hell is better.

I just bought a ticket to the GAYC/DC show in Ferndale MI on August 31st. Also this Monday I will be going to a very old theater in Detroit to see To Kill a Mockingbird with a guest appearance by the lady who played Scout in the movie. Also Marilyn Manson is back and doing shows.

I used to go see old movies at revival showings. Fox theater does show some old movies. I’ll check one out when it is something I want to watch. The latest is Harlem Nights. I remember seeing that when it came out because Richard Pryor is in it. It kind of sucks.

@@vinylrichie007 I once went to The FOX Theater in Visalia to see Henry Rollins tell about his world travels. It was fun. He talked with hope and humor. I also saw the European cut of The SHINING there.

The Tee Vee record is on a Portland label that I hadn't heard of until now. I'll look into their catalog. Wasn't familiar with the Vile Cherubs but a quick sampling online reveals good sounds. Gonna try to track one down. Hope all is well! Cheers, Tom

Libertines lead singer was such a mess. I got their first couple CDs, really liked them but Peter was such a train wreck. What was the name of the psych album, I did not catch it and couldn’t read it on the video. I would have grabbed that Libertines also, worth having. I traded in a lot of album to Radio Wasteland before I left.
