That Courtney Barnett was tough. The writing was so small and hand written cursive. Rocks Off is a great one that I never would have thought of.

Sleep is my superpower...The Crystal Ship by the Doors is kind of about sleep and feels like a psychedelic dream...I'm Only Sleeping is great psyche and one of my all-time fave tunes.

Hi Rich, you did a great thing reading out the lyrics. Many music channels on KZread focus heavily on the sounds and not enough on the words, which can be just as important as the music. The Butthole Surfers song is a heavy listen but does a good job of drawing attention to an important issue.

The reason I showed Yesterday and Today was to share the George appendage story. I forgot.

Richie, when I was a kid, I stumbled upon a book of Salvador Dali's paintings at my local library. The first painting I saw was, ''Sleep'' from 1937. I was baffled because at that time in my life I didn't think artists were allowed to depict that type of subject matter. One of my favorite sleep songs is, '' Sleepy Time Time'' from the ''Live Cream'' album. Eric Clapton never sounded better, after that performance he seemed to go to sleep for long periods and occasionally wake up and play some good stuff like ''The Core'' from the ''Slowhand'' album.

There's a great live in the studio video of John doing "How do you sleep" on Y.T. George is there on guitar. George later regretted playing on the track.

It is brutal.

I don't sleep anymore, I nap... I used to put on Patsy Cline to crash too 50 years ago. Now I have a two hour rain and rolling thunder video I play to start me off to nap time... Sigmund Freud said of sleep, "I hate those moments of death". Late in life he considered sleep ominous which contradicted his earlier musings on the subject....

The sound of the fan puts me to sleep. I used it when I was working graveyard. I seldom sleep 8 hours at night. I average between 4 and 6 hours but I usually take a nap during the day.

I just heard through the grapevine that you gave Waxed a piece of your mind. He gets away with disgusting behavior on Rachel’s stream. That same behavior is criticized by Rachel and company when it is someone else doing it. I will say it does no good when it comes to Waxed. His logic is so faulty. The only reality he knows is what is in his head.

I don’t have many Beatles on vinyl. I love that John Lennon album - had the cassette as a kid and played it to death . You did a poetry reading!!! Sorry so late to this. Another reading - I love it. Thank you. Crazy music!!! Love her comment. Transparent lyrics were wild - thanks for reading them. Locust A T - love it. I saw them in concert for that. Such an amazing album. That song is so sad but they make it humorous which is so disturbing. Great video.

I agree with the hypocrisy of John bashing someone for making "Muzak"...To throw in a more obscure cut: "Sleeping" by the Dwight Twilley Band from their 2nd album "Twilley Don't Mind"......And it's obvious that they had heard "I'm Only Sleeping "....Peace and Love, Terry Tutor .

No Sleep Till Brooklyn would have been included if I had thought of it. My best friend and his girlfriend went to Rozz’s apartment in the 90’s. He told me Rozz was an airhead. I said how can that be the case if he wrote all those lyrics. Drugs, my friend replied.

fun fact: (for dream cleaver 15:19 ) The word "cleave" has two opposite meanings - either to stick together or to split apart.
