My Mom had dementia, she passed away about a year ago. My dad couldn’t live without her. He passed away couple months after she did. Keeping both of you in my prayers. Enjoy every moment you have with her.

Aww sorry for your loss I lost my grandma in April 30th 2015 2007 I lost my grandfather in July 27th and then my uncle Billy in August 6th 2011 and 2019 my pet rabbit nightmare march 1st and then April 6th I had to watch my black cat rocko be euthanized at the age of 18 and it hurts me still he was my personal emotional support pet

My mom and I would sing and harmonize together all the time when I was young. I have yet to find a song as beautiful and heart wrenching as this one.🥺. No one sings like Vince Gill. His voice is from the heavens above. My mom is gone now. I can STILL hear her beautiful voice . I love you Mom

Absolutely perfection. I'll have to listen to more country music. I wasn't expecting that burst of beautiful sound after the first two verses. Patty who? This is new to me. I'm putting together my list of funeral songs sadly. I don't think this is the song they meant for me to check out by Vince gill, but I love it. That first chorus where he pulls that note down in his throat at the word just, is beautiful. As a singer that's interesting technique. I've been checking out some country singers and it's probably just natural for them. I'm not able to modulate like that. I gotta hear it again

I came in the front door and called to her as I have done for the last 44yrs, she had always responded welcome home honey!...not this time...i found her in bed asleep like the angle she has always been to me... she would have turned 76 yrs old next week...My wife, best friend and forever love has moved on.....This song will ever be burned into my soul.

We were married 58 years. She died 10 days after they said she had cancer. It's been 2 years now and I miss her every day.

I so understand. Lost my best friend and husband tragically two yrs ago. I've been with him since age of 13. Its a void no one can fill and an emptiness so cold and hallow which no ones understand. I die a little everyday, especially with no closure of the situation.

Way back when, we had a clock-radio for an alarm. One Saturday morning this song woke me up, and I was alone in bed. My heart stopped. Being still half asleep, I didn't realize my wife was in the kitchen, making coffee. I love the song, but I will never forget the depths of despair I felt. I treated her like a queen for several weeks after that. Worked, I guess. Saturday will be our 50th anniversary.

This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our hearts

This man is one of the few singers who have a 7 octave voice. Not many but a few singers can say that. His voice is soooo smooth at any range it's mind bogling. If I had 10 thumbs they would all be up.........

He is not only one of the greatest singers in all time but also a world class guitarist and a top notch song writer. In 1989 while he was still a struggling artist and just before this song "When I Call Your Name" was released Mark Knopfler asked Vince to play guitar for the Dire Straights. He says it would have solved all the financial problems then but he could not admit failure to himself. He turned it down the offer because he believed in himself and pursued the path that he believed in. Then the song was released and the rest is history.

Yes he does and both they're daughter's have a beautiful voice as well. They sang The National Anthem with they're daft before a game one time. Vince wife Amy Grant has a gorgeous voice as well. They're both very talented. Vince actually wrote that one song for his wife. I believe it's the song "Whenever you come around. " They are a beautiful family. God Bless them.

Justin Robert's I'm so sorry about your dad and he is always in your heart and in your memories and take those with you and you will reunite again one day no doubt about it. He is still watching over you. I lost my husband 4 years ago just like that and he was the tender age of 47 and before he left this earth because I never got to say goodbye it happened so suddenly and as I held his hand I told him that I wasn't saying goodbye that I would see him again one day soon. They are our guardian Angel's and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. He gave me two beautiful daughters after 13 years of marriage. Cherish the ones you love because you never know when someone's time is. God Bless brother.

I lived this song 30 years ago. Now, at 50, it still brings a tear (or 1,000,000) to my eyes. Part of the healing process is to fell the hurt and the loss.
