This song sure pulls on my heartstrings, when I was younger someone and I ended our relationship, I went on with my life and got married all though I would always wondered what he was doing. Well 30 years later we got in touch with each other and stayed friends, and we caught up with our lives adventures then two years later he stopped answering and I knew he would have to be dead to not answer me back and he did indeed had passed away. I feel like God gave us that time to at least catch up and forgive each other and we did. It kills me to know he is gone.

It's been nearly 3 years now since my wife of 39+ years walked away from our marriage and divorced me. Not sure that I'll ever get over this or get her out of my heart, just love her too much... so I was listening to our country oldies (60s-90s) station and heard this song. Man, while I’m still happily married at 34 years- this song is just so hauntingly beautiful. I can’t believe it’s been over 25 years since it’s release. Vince plays it, sings it and acts it well… thank God for music!

This reminds me of a very special love in my life. I have been trying over her for about 30 years. Still think lots of her today.

Just one of many of Vince's songs that tug at my heart strings. My brain goes into a whirl wind of memories and ones that I truly do not want to remember but I love this mans music. He was one of the many voices of the 90's country music that I fell in love with.

This reminds me when my mom would listen to this in the car singing about how my dad cheated and left her (also abused his kids (me and my brother)) she loved him even though he was horrible but now she's passed and not hurting anymore and I really don't care where he is. She died at the age 29 two days before her birthday I was 10 so I really didn't understand but now that I'm older I understand. I miss her every single day but I'm glad she's in a better place now.
