I’m not an American, I’m an Australian and I love the song. As someone who loves blue grass, the voices of Patti, Vince and Ricky, and their musical talent individually and collectively. I was born in America and served during VietNam. I am now retired to the southern coast of S. Africa along the warm Indian Ocean. I cannot begin to tell you how many restaurants that have a live band which doesn't play American Country/Western. It keeps a bit of home in my heart what I being 1/2 day across the world and 1/2 way down. Good Music cuts through anything placed it's way!

I love this song!!! Does anyone else miss these amazing performers?? I swear the 80’s and 90’s were when country shined!!! Miss it!! Love country now but it was so amazing then!! Thanks for sharing this!!

Mrs. Reeves... I can't believe I saw your post. This past Christmas my dad would have been 87 and your husband Jim Reeves was absolutely my dad's favorite singer in the whole world. I heard his music from the day I was born until January of 2000 when he passed away. First it was the records till he wore them out and then came the cassette tapes. My sisters, brothers and mom still love a good Jim Reeves song. And they were all good!

My son died at age 19 from a truck accident he broke his neck. What a thing to find out at 6 o'clock in the morning after working 2nd shift. I miss him every frickin day of my life and I will love him forever!!

A truly beautiful song! We had the funeral director play it for my dad & mom's funeral services in 2014. I don't know anybody who listens to this song and not be affected by it. My mother sang this to me all the time with tears in her eyes as she told me she never thought I'd live to see 21 unless I was in prison I'll be turning 50 this year I lost my mother last year in May and I played a cassette recording of her singing this song at her memorial and tell him that story into this day I can't hear this song without thinking of her truly an amazing gift to the world with this one song it shows all his amazing talent

He actually started writing this song for keith Whitley when he passed away but then later finished it when his brother passed. Thats where the part no stranger to the rain comes from was keith whitleys song.

It Don,t Get Any Better Than These 3 ,And This Song Has Been Sang At So Many Of My Family And Friends Funerals.It Always Brings Tears To My Eyes,I've Sang It Many Times,And It Still Has A Very Solemn Affect On Me Every Time I Hear Those Three Sing It Together.God Has Gifted Them So Well.

So glad that Patty, Ricky and Vince could honor Ralph Stanley in this way. I was blown away when I heard Pretty Polly sung by Patty and Ralph. It’s something I will never forget. Thanis to all three of you.

My aunt and uncle sang this song at my mother's funnel She loved this song. Makes me cry every time. My aunt and uncle live in a tiny town called elizabethton Tennessee. They. Sing it better. Did i say he is also the pastor there. Love you guy's. God bless all
