Of all the Russian seniors, she's the least expected to excel on bars but she has. This girl is something else. Hope she hits when it matters.

That comparison at the end was interesting...I didn't realize Konnor was only a point behind. Not sure if she is competing this year, but last year she left out some difficulty on bars and beam. Still sad that Russia didn't send her to worlds 2021. That would have been her one chance to become world AA champ

What about almost every USA gymnast doing their RO+BHS with legs separated, is that lines and elegance for you??? @@iliitchwieopw Actually I can and I did :) Russians have terrible tumbling technique that makes people want to bleach their eyes. Every acro skill they do, they look like their struggling for their life. There is nothing elegant about Russian technical ability.

Her advantage is mainly on bars, which can legitimately help her gain 15+ with a 6.6D routine. Beam difficulty means nothing when she can't hit the routine, and execution matters more. Her floor is probably around mid 14 range.

well, mid-14 is what you need to get gold. That is definitely 8.4 if judged the right way on floor and that is the kind of score that gives you a gold medal on floor.

Agreed. I can’t really take her beam seriously at the moment even though she has all the difficulty and more. Bars are just amazing, her vault is pretty good, and her floor tends to score amazingly internationally and with the upgrades that floor could acc take gold if it’s a hit as his her bars. She’s slowly becoming the new Simone. She has even more difficulty to show and the international judges love her. If she gets a cheng it’s over for everyone

Great video and thank you for your work! The comparison at the end is interesting! Rebeca is better on vault, in E score and D socre (Cheng) but the best E score probably is that of Listunova, on bars, floor and beam (if she performed the routine without big errors)

I think there are still some potential bonus connection points she could get on beam if she connects some of the elements. Obviously that's going to be hard to do, and probably they were already attempted and we just didn't see them connect. I wonder about her total difficulty vs Angelina Melnikova? Like during the 2016 Olympics, I think Mustafina didn't have the highest difficulty in the Russian team (or even in the world) but she ended up with a bronze AA. Of course as you pointed out, they're not doing international competitions so we don't know how these scores would hold up.

The gain by connection points is very marginal. Those points can be deducted right away through rhythm deductions.

The only thing holding her back is difficulty on vault and consistency on BB. She definitely is one of the most well-rounded gymnasts out there today and would do very well even without the national inflated scores. What I find odd about her though, is that she can do some of the hardest skills with near-perfect execution, but then get really sloppy on basic things like a round off or in her twisting form. That helicopter leg on her UB dismount is quirky as well.

На национальных стартах оценивают очень строго , тому есть свои причины ! А что касается техники , то например у Байлз , когда наконец судить стали правильно техника максимум 8..2 ! А на Олимпиаде в Токио американкам точно показали на каком уровне их топорная работа ! Японцы в этом отношении очень честные и судейство было строгим для всех ! И было видно что наши девчонки технически были выше американок , в сложности например на опорном прыжке уступали , но не сильно ! А вот брусья конечно у Россиянок отточены !!!!

If she hits on these routines she could medal in AA for sure. Some of these execution scores were actually insane however (floor and beam specifically were overscored by probably at least 0.5). I wonder why she doesn’t add a full twisting double back into floor if she’s already doing the double double.

Her floor has probably potential to be upgraded, but the execution scores were way too high, especially on beam with a fall (which is 1 full point off) and that big wobble

Тут смотрю все диванные эксперты собрались ??? Когда наконец восстановили честное судейство на мировых стартах , все стало на свои места , нельзя путать гимнастику с акробатикой или цирком ! Циркачи работают чисто для зрелища амв спорте нужна красота и хорошая техника ! В Токио судили всех правильно и Американки очень проигрывали многим именно технически , за счёт сложности выезжали , но оценки уже были не такие высокие как раньше , что вызывало недоумение на лице Балз ! По международным правилам оценивается все , натянутые носки ,колени , полный поворот винтовых прыжков , амплитудность , мелкие ошибки не заметные зрителю сбавка 0.1 д, средняя 0.3 - 0.5 д , грубая от 1 балла до 2 , если ( это касается бревна ) гимнастка встала после прыжка на бревно а потом соскочила то элемент засчитан , но спортсменка теряет балл , сложность не только в акробатике , но и в прыжковых связках , в поворотах стоя , что касается прыжков в шпагат , то разножка должна быть четко по горизонтали или выше , если горизонтали нет , то прыжки не засчитываются как прыжки в шпагат ! Если на фляках и темпах разведены ноги это тоже сбавка , если на брусьях не собраны ноги , тоже сбавка , подсогнула локти сбавка , не доведена стойка - сбавка ! Отсутствие артистизма и хореографии - сбавка и не маленькая так как это спец.тркбование ! Единицы кто способен получить за технику 9 и выше ! Из этого складывается общая оценка : например за технику оценка 8.2 а сложность 6.2 в итоге 14.4 , сложность может быть 5.4 а техника 9.2 вот вам 14 .6 !!! В Токио у Байлз даже без падений в квалификации техника была на уровне 8 баллов ! На одном из снарядов на Олимпиаде Уразова отстала от Симоны всего на 66 сотых , так как технически была выше ! Очень технично работает Ребекка из Бразилии , но на мировом чемпионате 2023 ее явно задвинули , за уши тянули американок , хотя Бразилия была выше ! Но Это увы не Япония ! Японцы в этом отношении очень правильные !

Listunova has the capability to beat Rebeca. It would depend on how they both performed on the day. No one’s saying that Viktoria would be guaranteed to beat her, just that her difficulty is currently slightly higher.
