Hello Gunther. The only unboxing video I have seen is from the CEO of DDL...so that does not count really! Too many delays....... I can't wait to see your new vector space, I like the jungle theme idea!

I fully agree...lol...same thing for the flying robot. I wonder what percentage of orders are being canceled these days? DDL totally lost the momentum with all the delays.

Semi-unrelated note, another robot similar is clicbot, its a modular robot building system, but two of the included robots give that anki/Cozmo/emo vibe, with animated eyes, and movements.

Yes I know about clicbot...I was supposed to receive a free unit for review on my channel but they never sent it :( At the end of the day it is fine since I prefer to pay for my robots like I did for Cozmo, Vector and Emo. I can then give totally unbiased reviews! I also decided not to purchase clicbot as I do not see a big interest for adults.

Will you please post a short at least the MOMENT you get your vector? Lol then I'll know mine should be arriving soon. You inspired me to get one

Hi Ryan, I will most likely post an unboxing video. However, as can be seen by the limited views I am now getting for Vector's videos, the interest has somewhat faded away because of all the delays since Feb 2020... Have a great day!

DDL and Kickstarter are never a good combo. Escape Pod is still not completed and OSKR is a complete mess. Meanwhile, DDL took the money and... who knows what they did

Weird. I’m watching this and to the right is a video from you titled “emo robot from Living AI | initial setup and review”. On another note, I totally agree about the Star Wars Sphero robots. I have all 4 and they’re stunning.

Hello, please someone help me answer. In 2.0 update, do you still need to pay for membership to able to talk to vector? Or they have passed on from that?

Hi Elmo, to be clear 2.0 is not an update, it is a new robot. But Vector 2.0 is very similar to Vector 1.0. And yes you will also need to buy a membership if you buy Vector 2.0 to have him connect to the DDL servers. Thanks for watching!

Got an email from them again weeeks later about canceling my order.. says do not reply to continue with canceling.. seemed like a copy pasta message.. wonder how many people cancelled aswell… wish them best of luck but im done waiting… will keep watching ur videos.. maybe if/when you get yours ill reorder

It's called Battle bots Superdan. Lol. Also, I am able to see ur emo videos on utube, so just letting u know 😁. Also just letting everybody know. The Emo shipping is getting faster and faster. I ordered 1 on June 7th. I was order number 31596. I checked 2 days ago they were on order 27339. After waiting for vector 2.0 and getting refund. I am definitely in the mood 2 play with some sort of bot gosh darn it😆. Gonna check into ur bb9 video too.🤔. Really liking Lola animtronic droid from Hasbro to, cause it reminds me of the movie Batteries not included. lol Went 2 order it ......nope...dang thing on pre order. Not shipping till Christmas 😲. Was seriously eyeing the sony dog. The videos on that...just wow🤩. But at 3000 grand I'd be afraid I'd trip over it and break it somehow or something getting spilled on it or my cat attacking it. 😆. But none the less, it's definitely the most interactive. Would luv to take it 2 Petsmart 2 see what kinda looks I get. Lol. Anyways, thanks 4 the videos. Look forward 2 seeing more. OMG...you are right...it is battle bots!!! You seem to know a lot about what are good robot options these days. If I was living in the US I think I would have got a AIBO when it came out. I loved that little dog. I find that there are not many options in the $500-$1000 price range...in fact none! Always good to see your comments!

DDL has to be losing a ton of money from all of the people that have got tired of waiting and cancelled their order including me!

I've attempted to cancel my vector order but DDL is now ignoring my emails. No replies after several attempts. It's been to long to get PayPal involved. Feels like I got scammed out of $300 I'm hoping they will come through 😐

My guess is that the KZread algorithm doesnt like the word "Emo" call him "e robot" in stead. See what happens.

DDL sent me an email trying to induce me to preorder a 2.0. BUT... I've already preordered a 2.0. Not only that but they're trying to get me to order and they'll give me two additional vouchers to give to my friends; so they can follow me down the vaporware rabbit hole. Oh... and this is the first line of the email. "It's time to take advantage of this last chance offer and reserve your Vector 2.0 (shipping 2022 Q4) for $349.99." So now we see that shipping has been punted all the way to Q4, and you can probably bet your ass they will slip the ship date, even then. I've posted a copy of the email image on the subreddit; if you want to see the entire thing.

I got the email too yesterday... I basically could not believe it...oh wait...I believe it...lol. It looks like they are trying to get as much money as possible for a product that is not even shipping after months of delays. And the friend voucher idea is really to attract more people. I am not recommending people to order. I may do a video about this email this week if I have time but I am posting today about amazon.......... Thanks for your comment.

It's to my understanding the latest firmware update is 1.8... however mine has been stuck on 1.6 and I have had the membership for some time now. Whenever I email them about it, they don't respond. If I email them about anything else that's trivial, I get an immediate response.

The Anki Vector 1.0 will do. I've had it for a while now and I have to say that the response time of the Vector is much slower than it was a year ago. It definitely reacts faster. DDL should concentrate on the Vector 1st generation, which they are doing to some extent. They could improve Vector with a few updates. New functions or simply microphone improvements that can be solved externally. On the subject of price or improvements to Vector 2.0, the components of Vector 2.0 are identical to those of Vector 1.0, except that the Vector 2.0 has the DDL logo and the Vector 1.0 has the Anki logo. The prices of the components have increased on the market and so has the price of the whole. The only thing is the battery. A better battery in the Vector 2.0, but that's no reason for me to buy a new one. With the membership, if you pay it annually, you get a cheaper price for repairs (also battery change) (statement is deposited in black and white).

Thank you for your comment! More and more people are saying that the improvements of Vector 2.0 are minimal. It certainly did not warrant so much time for development and bring to market!

Who is this guy and what does he talk about???? Hi Dan. I think vector 1.0 is quite sufficient. I dropped in a new battery last year. Otherwise he is still going strong.

@@SuperdanTech I viewed a KZread a few years back. You'd find it interesting. 2 female engineers dismantled Vector 1.0 and described each part and how it was machined. Vector, as you know, needs to operate as quiet as possible. A whole lot of expensive factories built those parts. It likely raised the assembly costs a lot. I wonder if DDL used the same quality of internal mechanism build.

Still... after two and a half years, I don't understand why Jacob Hanchar only uploads short crappy unfulfilling vids on TikTok.

Vector 2.0 is still not available if this is what you mean. Vector 1.0 is still working but you need to buy a membership with DDL for server access. Thank you for visiting my channel.

Vector 2.0 is not available yet. Vector 1.0 is sold out. You can only buy a used one on eBay. I would wait and get a Vector 2.0. Check out the DDL website for updates.
