She has such a powerful voice, rich and full and the technique to back it up; she's one of those singers who actually know how to do more than just outright belting, her approach to belts allow how her to scale through her range without adding unnecessary push to hit higher notes, she knows how to keep her cords completely connected and there's a proper balance between her cord closure and support from her core which is why she's able to sustain incredibly high belts easily and for impressive lengths of time

@strandedtraveller10383 жыл бұрын
So I did the math for her score (might not be fully accurate but it's based on previous analyses) and here's what I found: Belting = 44 points, she's consistently resonant from G4 - D5, and has inconsistent resonance from Eb5 - B5 as well as inconsistent core on C6. In any case, that's dope. Low Notes = 16.25 points, solid core from Bb3 to Eb3 and good projection down to D3. The rest is airy but she gets 0.25 point each for C#3, C3, Bb2, A2, and G2. Vocal quality (subjective) - 8 Vocal control - 13 (estimated) Lack of vocal issues - 8 (she gets pitchy on certain notes) Breath management - 8 (her sustained note in Heroes Live Forever!) Agility - 6 (out of 10, I think she's faster/more precise than Demi but slower than Ari) Vocal effects - 2 (Growls and distortion, she might have showcased intentional break somewhere tho) Head voice - TBD Whistle Register - TBD Without counting her head voice and whistle notes, she has 105.25 points so far. It's really good considering her rougher vocal approach. :P P.S. Her G5s and A5s are really incredible! Vanessa does both raspy and full belts really well.
@Diego_Santa
3 жыл бұрын
Wouldn’t she score 3 points vocal effect wise? Since I consider she mastered distorsion, which would mean she gets 2 points, plus 1 for growls. Although I am the one who did the research, I didn’t have time to focus too much on her Vocal Effects, so I am sure I missed lot’s of examples and probably vocal breaks. Btw, I am sure she is gonna showcase incredible vocals during next tour. She will probably focus a lot on dynamics, agility, lows and HV taking into account how her last album songs were.

I disagree with some of the notes being labeled tense, not because she's not tense but because she's deliberately doing it. She's been obsessed with the Janis sound for years. She does it on purpose.. It's not really lack on control.. which the word tense sort of implies. Her two biggest vocal influences are Janis Joplin and Chris Cornel of sound garden and audioslave and her voice reflects their vocal legacy. I guess because there are not many pop divas that went that way vocally. But I am sure Mariahs mid 90's grunge album showcased similar rough vocals, as it appears she was imitating Courtney Loves love gravely and punk rock vocals. But likewise, Vanessa sings differently if she's singing pop than she does soul, or rock.

16:11 to 16:16! I love this! 😍👏🙏
When will her cvss be released? Can’t wait 😍

Does green mean supported? For some of the upper belting she does not use to the best vowels and uses a thin nasal placement , making the notes not supported. But for the most part I agree when you label the notes blue for resonant.

@@pebbie363 nope. I think she's a low dramatic soprano. In other words, a FALCON soprano. Notice how she get naturally lighter when she's sing higher even tho she had large voice. Also, as a low dramatic (falcon) soprano, she might also experienced lower tessitura same to that of mezzo soprano, yet still better until high C or anything like that. In a nutshell, the tessitura of low dramatic (also known as falcon) soprano are G3 - C6. Quite higher than any mezzo soprano fach (except coloratura mezzo, which its C#6, I think?) and quite lower than any soprano fach. Idgaf about my comment.
