I solved my 2.5 jeeps blowby problem by using a 4.0 pcv valve. Get rid of the pcv elbow. My air filter doesn’t clog up with oil anymore.
Flat out, BEST CHANNEL for 4cyl TJ. Another great video 👏👏👏
I like that you label the chapters of the video
My YJ's engine was nasty because of a valve cover leak. I had great results using Gunk Engine Cleaner/Degreaser and a warm water. Afterwards, I pulled the valve cover off I discovered there was NO GASKET!! I cleaned the inside with Gunk spray and I cleared the vent holes. I installed a Fel Pro cork gasket and buttoned it up and the engine looks very nice since. Great video JeepSheep!
Same as on the inline six up to the stamped one.
Good video EARNED a new subscriber.
I just finished port matching my intake and found a lot of oil residue inside the intake manifold itself of my 2.5. I fabbed up a neat little catch can to go between my metering orifice and my intake. That should stop a lot of the oil residue from going back into the intake while maintaining the function of my stock ccv system. I'm going to keep an eye on it and if it doesn't work like I think it should I'll plug the vacuum line to the orifice, route the fresh air intake tube to the catch can as well and put a little breather in the top. It'll have to be drained now and then but no more oily vapors in the intake and the residue will still be contained. If I DO have to eliminate the vacuum side of the ccv and just use the catch can and breather method it will also mean a little cooler intake air temperature as well.

That's something I've been wanting to look into as well. Keep me posted!

I’m looking for them too as well as the plastic part that goes between the gaskets. Any help finding them would be great
How do you deal with vapor locking on this typed of jeeps?
Looking for a wire diagram for the throttle body on a 2.5 l
Very interesting. Anyone else have a plastic valve cover instead of the aluminum one? And where could I get an aluminum one?

The older Jeeps will be plastic. I recommend a junk yard or Facebook marketplace. the one's on ebay are very overpriced. I think anything past 1991 would be AL and I think they bolt right up. Check the forums to verify that.
Have code p1294 , can be this the iSSUE? I don't have vaccum leaks.
Dollar store degreaser and $1.50 to your local self-service car wash will do wonders to clean the valve cover .

I think the YJ one fits, search for the YJ valve cover on Ebay
Where are you getting the replaceable parts? Gaskets and "thin Plastic film"?

If referring to the small triangle gaskets, I'm not sure if any are available. I made my own with paper gasket material
Can you CLEAN the Metered orifice or just replace it? I've not able to find the Metered orifice (92 )

You can definitely clean it. It's just a fitting with a small hole in it.
I don't own a jeep. I own a 79 big block bronco mud truck. But I kinda want an old jeep for a daily driver.

Why not sand blast it

Oven Cleaner - $16. Sand blasting equipment and air compressor - Many $$$. I would try sand blasting if I could but my budget does not support the startup cost.
Not necessary
