Here on Jeep Sheep TV we love Jeeps but that is not all we do; you will find the occasional product review and how-to installation of home products as well.
Wait, don't forget the 70's ambulance that we are outfitting to be a road trip monster!
Whether you are here for repairs, modifications, event coverage's, product installations, reviews, or adventures we are glad you tuned in!

if you don’t have Snap ring pliers who would you have a welder🤦🏻♂️ great video 😂
I looked at a base tune for a '97 XJ 4.0 in VCM suite: For fuel injection: At 68F the fuel correction parameter is 1.1367. At 140F it is 1.0781. For spark, at 68F and manifold pressure >80.0 kPa, there are 2 additional degrees of advance (and even more for colder temps). In comparison, at 127F, there is 0 additional advance. By relocating the IAT, in regular weather you're getting a richer mixture and some more advance. E.g. here it was 75 degrees here the other day, but my manifold mounted IAT was reading ~125F. I assume they probably did account for the IAT location reading being hot when they were developing the tuning - but you really wonder if this tuning was performed for Toledo Ohio. Hence why some guys report gains and others report losses
@supercoolbuddiesclub2408 I didn't know about the timing adjustments. That's very interesting! I would assume that it performs best the closer the reading is to the actual air temp entering the engine.
Same as on the inline six up to the stamped one.
Liam, I don’t know how I missed this short, but it just came up in my feed. Hope you two nice couples made out ok.

That is so strange. I never know how KZread recommends my content. It was a great trip and the Jeep was a champ.
Liam, I’ve been subscribed for a number of years. You may have seen me as William West. Anyway, good to see the video in my feed.
I liked the part where it was running and driving
It runs and drives, gotta go to his KZread channel, though, to see it. We couldn't drive it at the show
weird echo on sound but like.
But you don’t need to rebuild the motor. To don’t blow the engine?
If you keep the boost low, the engine should handle it.
They paid for the title, not the jeep.
Can i buy one?
With enough money you can buy anything
@@JeepSheepTVlooking into getting one made now👍
Wonder if they bought it for demolition derby? lol
That is a good little carpet cleaner. I have the same one, but with with the Dirt Devil badge. Jeep looks good! Seems like a Fair price.
Liam, Recommend you stay away from vehicles with frame rot. You are good at electrical work/repair, gauges, mechanical work, etc. You can even do welding. Although some of us are still waiting for the YJ tub to be completed. Now, you didn’t make ANY money, unless you consider your time/labor at 10 cents per hour or less. lol That Jeep needs to go back to the life it previously had. And that my friend may have been the actual accomplishment. Lastly, yes, it does look better cleaned and repaired, excepting the frame.
Jump it
... it did cross my mind
Good job ! That thing was a real mess when you got it
That frame rot is scary, but fixable by a person with the right skills and equipment. $2,000 should get her sold though.
good video, sell before you dump more $ into it.
car flippers r us
I would pay so much for this, my 2018 jl would look amazing
They are on the Unofficial Use Only website for pre-order now
How do you hook up a catch can on a 2001 2.5 On the pvc valve side or on the ccv side , I have blow by pressure
BroAh, we recognize your handy work.
The old adjectives that ain't broke don't fix it. But I think I at least hate shrinking so it would stay together
That is a GM IRON DUKE 2.5. It might have come in your jeep but its a GM engine.
It's a 2.5L designed by AMC it is not the same as an Iron Duke
Not necessary
Not necessarily what?
Helpful, thanks!
Thats crappy heat treatment ccp garbage
“The kid just has to stop smoking meth.” I couldn’t stop laughing!
Or something
I have a 72 Commando and will be switching out to the headlights you recommended. Do you have a link for the matching running lights? They seem like 4 or 5 inch circles. Would like to make them all uniform. Derek
The running lights are stock with a switchback LED bulb in it
Was that as far as your suspension can droop? Usually I support the frame and use a jack to lift and lower the axle as needed. Also was going to suggest keeping the band on and installing bottom bolt then cut it and guide it into top hole, but you need to install the hardware
That is as far as it goes
Weld it on
Hell yeah. Jam some nails in there to center it and weld it. When the bearings finally wear out buy all new shit. Now we can mow and not wait for parts until winter.
Yup, I put another pulley on that I had laying around, and it did the same thing. so I welded it, and it seems much better!
@@JeepSheepTV that's awesome. We had a power steering pump on a Honda crv do this and i kept it just in case it happened again, i could experiment. Good to know it holds on a mower
At least the cheap pulley was the weak link vs that spindle.
The spindle shaft is toasted.
Do you have a foot starter on this Jeep? If so, that’s neat.
I do, and it is neat
@@JeepSheepTV Do you off road or go muddying in your Jeep in the summer. Is it usually hard to start. I had a 1947 Jeep that had a push button starter and most of the time I had to press on it with my thumb for 5-10 minutes before it would start. Very aggravating . Sometimes the battery would die, then I would have to push it off. Finally discovered that if it was humid condensation would form around the spark plug ( it was a flathead 4 cylinder) . A dry cloth would soak up the condensation and maybe it would start and maybe it wouldn’t . Anyway another round of cranking.
@tbs611 I haven't had those issues. I do take this jeep offroad but haven't done anything too serious with it yet. It still has some bugs in working out. Starts great though (now)
Thank you.
Well... That's 20 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. This video should be labeled "I stand in front of a wry eraser board and talk but not actually do anything!" Pathetic. Probably should stop doing videos. You are quite terrible at it.
A cheap jeep is anything but boring. Try not to drive it for safety, and you might actually start to like it. Lol
Oh, I already like it lol. It's sketchy but that's what makes it fun.
Is it really a jeep? I don't see any rough country stickers or ducks on the dash. Hmm...
Sorry, I must be a poser lol
@@JeepSheepTV yeah you are. REAL jeep mods are simple bolt-on chinese made junk that will never see use and are installed by a "customizer" at a rate of $300/hr.
Any idea what's causing mine to stall? Seem like air is coming out of EGR valve but I have changed it
The black sensor by the battery is simply the battery temp sensor. Tells the computer not to cook it, it goes under the battery
Wow ! Good job how did that thing not burn to ground !
Good ole glock pistol grip. A lot of stories in this jeep
I just hope that whoever previously did that electrical work isn't a surgeon in real life!!!!
i usually cant find blk tape
Meth and mechanics are an entertaining mixture.
This is right on time as I'm looking for a winch now just thinking of how much shipping and what kind of warranty
I wonder if this would still work with a TBI? 1987 ??
Not likely, they are pretty different
EVERYTHING is soooooo cheap in the US. It’s just not fair.
Where do you live?
@@JeepSheepTV Adelaide, Australia. I have a TJ and not only is everything way more expensive here but if I find parts cheaper from the US then the shipping kills us. You in the US get everything cheap and then complain that it’s too much. That’s not a criticism, I’m just pointing it out, you’re a lucky people.
@peterhepburn6518 being in the country that manufacturers the vehicle does usually help with part cost and availability lol.
Uranium plug won't give you nothing, engine isn't designed for them
Vacuum leaks cause a lean burn so yes it would get more fuel mileage
need a reservoir for a TJ - You have any more? Just like the one ion your video
I do not have any right now
I love the information you pulled for comparisons! Thank you for this video!
