1997 JEEP WRANGLER TJ 2.5 TIMING CHAIN

first off
I dont know what I'm doing. I will go back and try to provide links to the stuff I thought was very detailed and helpful.
it could take me awhile to find them again.
I personally thought there wasn't much info on TJ 2.5's. so I thought I'd throw this video in that I did leave opening details of importance out.
I recommend watching and reading the stuff you like over and over. before the project begins. if you're intimidated on working on stuff, like I am. that's what I did. I also bumped in to very important info in other videos and forums. sometimes the comments section is helpful. if shade tree mechanics or "pros" aren't arguing to argue.
I am spouting off from very limited experience and even less knowledge.
go for it. you can do it if I can.
here is

I watched this entire video. I had so many questions along the way but then in the end you actually started it and drove it, with no brakes. Dude, you ARE MacGyver! I loved how you were narrating this video as if it were a tutorial on how to do it, like anyone other than a certified mechanic at an actual garage would be doing it. Yet you’re doing it in the yard in the middle of the night. Much respect to you…you MacGyver you! 😎

thank you. thank you. much like roller skating for me, I only get the hang of it when it's time to go home and they're trying to close.

At the 3:14 mark of your video, do you know what the round silver piece is used for? Mine kit came with the same thing...have no idea what its for.

I'm now wondering if that's a spacer for the cover so you don't have to remove the harmonic dampened after you plan where the cover will fall. I really don't know. it never had to be an issue. I got mine at Napa. our in town guys seem to know what they are doing and commenting on. I should have asked them.
