@@MikeHooter Tanner I shot it back when it first came out then weeks later I put my name on the list to be one of the first to get one with my local archery shop and just got it in early January took a month to get but it was enough time to get all my add ons in, also I Believe when I ordered they told me only a few colors to choose from, after that they will go with other custom colors... which only wanted either the black or ambush green or smoke, ended up with ambush green and never looked back.

I ordered the V3 on its release day after shooting it. First Mathews ive ever bought. Ive always shot Hoyt. One thing about the string angle, if you're at a 29 inch draw like i am, the angle would be steeper on a shorter ATA bow. Ive always heard you should never shoot a shorter ATA bow than your draw length. Maybe thats wrong? I shot both the 27 and the 31 and the string angle on the 27 was very steep. I really had to push my face into the string. On the 31, it was a non issue. Felt perfect. My Hoyt Carbon Defiant was a 30 inch ATA, so im used to shooting a bit longer ATA hunting bows anyway. Cant wait to get it.

If you have a bow with an IBO speed of 350 and another bow with a IBO speed of 335 but they both have the same draw Length of let’s say 28” and weight of 70lbs and is also shooting the same arrow are you going to get the same speed out of both bows?? Both bows are super great bows! Honestly it’s going to depend on what you want. You can save money on a VXR and get the same quality as the V3, but if you’re one that likes the newest thing than the V3 is a really good bow too!

@@HaxenHunt bought a hat so maybe I'll win yours hah. I actually won the v3 but got the money for it and debating now. Dude the VXR 28 just looks mean. I feel like they should have rearranged the cut outs on the v3 and I know it's just aesthetics but the fact that it came to just be aesthetics backs up my point. Had the cut outs made the bow uniquely different than the vxr then so be it but if they had to go that route just to keep up with it then... seems like it really is just a different sized vxr with a couple minor changes. A VXR 1.5 so to speak. What do you think ?

A lot of people don't know that if he said one was better than the other he would be be taking a chance with the company unless he was paid by the company to speak one way or the other. Same as one car company saying another sucked, The car company would be going to court unless both companys was owned by the same guy or there was a deal between the two to speak this way. So you will never see a popular site on here ever speak ones better than the other. Most of the videos we watch on here youtube pays a profit to page owner because of the amount of views and the people with no contract end up way in the back or you never see at all. You also get to watch all this for free because youtube is getting paid from the company who puts an ad up.

@Patriot Ref that is an important fact that not a lot of people are giving credit for. The Hoyt RX 4 was not much different from the RX 3 and the V3 is not much different from the VXR. It’s not from a lack of innovation, it’s because the bows are already VERY good and only small improvements can be made at this point.

@Patriot Ref yup! I’m not sure why Matthews went smaller to the V3 27. I haven’t heard anyone vocalizing that they wanted a smaller bow then the VXR 28. I love my rx-4 Alpha but if your interested in a good longer bow check out PSE line up. They are a company that took a big step forward last year.
