He's helping me a lot to control my anxiety. That's why I get up earlier every day and take my time paying attention to the things I do before I go to work. Getting up, feeding my pets, taking a shower, getting dressed with the clothes I have already chosen to wear the night before. Enjoying my cup of coffee, and doing all this without thinking about work. Then, with plenty of time, I get in my truck and enjoy the driving to work. I really do not think about how I think my day is going to be when I'm at work. I don't care about it. I leave that until I'm already there and just taking things as they come. This eliminates my anxiety completely. I can see most people on the road driving faster, rushing and I see myself the way I was before. Taking for granted everything that the present moment is giving you.

I suffered from major depression and crippling anxiety. I couldn't do "1 day at a time." I controlled myself by thinking just get through the next 5 minutes (or any small amount of time). It helped. This is something that took a good 14 years from my quality of life. Being able to control anxiety is difficult, but it can be done. Don't be discouraged. Peace ☮️.

Retirement would become restless. It remind me a company, with unusual approach to their employees. The moment you are hired you have one day of week to be free to figure out what you will do when retirement come. It not a day off, it your retirement day that some point come and you have to know how you live it, need learn it now. What happened after this, everybody started enjoying their work, the production sky high. The training retirement time become irrelevant, something changed the flame of mind of everybody. @@charlieknoch5502 Thanks for your concern and advice. Somehow I have managed to cope. The day my wife left is the last day I took the Citilopram, my guessing was I couldn't feel any worse. Somone once said "The lowest ebb is the turn of the tide" Through the tears, sad and happy, through very mixed confused emotions I have tried to occupy myself. Today, over two months on, I can see light at the end of the tunnel, I no longer need or want the anti depressants and am being, being more concerned with right now, The only thing I have planned, besides work, is a climb up Mnt Snowdon on Aug 20th. That will help my body, spirit and mind more than any man made drug. Eckert is a true inspiration and at times I havejust listened to his voice, not his words. In every video Ekhart brings me peace❤ I watched this in a sick state which i believe was due to living in the future. I came back from vacation and was going to leave to another vacation in 4 days. The 4 days of work became torture in my mind, i didn't want to be here, doing the work. I didnt feel like living the current moment, i wanted to be 4 days ahead and it made me soo weak. This is day 2 and i am going to live it fully, every meeting i have, every person i will talk to, i am going to treat as a present. A present of present moment:)

I have much more anxiety since I’ve been working from home for several years. My job is also very demanding and staring at a computer screen all day seems insane to me. How did the world get to be like this? No wonder so many of us have anxiety. We’ve lost touch with normal communication and connection with humans.

Remote working is not all it’s cracked up to be and eventually led me to quit. Especially since I had never worked as hard in my entire career, as I did when I was WFH, my employer’s belief was that I was “baking cookies and doing laundry.” I’m so happy you posted, as I thought it was just me not being able to handle it.

@@HappyNess43 I am lucky to work for a company that does appreciate me, but we are understaffed which makes it harder. They did just hire someone, so that should help. Even with that though, working from home is unhealthy for me in many ways. Did you find another job going into an office?

From the voice, I legit pictured a meditating man of middle eastern descent with a large beard, a turban, the cartoon image of a guru I'd seen as a kid growing up. Glad I was right and he's also the main character in Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Seriously though thank you removal of past and future. I still put away anything that is troublesome like socializing from my mind to stop problem creation. I am no longer in my head with anxiety, I'm just not challenging myself with things that can cause pain.

I recently turned 25 and I've realised that I've spent so much time waiting for what's next. When it comes I'm underwhelmed or disappointed. But not long after the event occurred, whatever it is, I was already waiting for the next thing. Searching, searching, never satisfied. For the first time, since I was probably a child and had no expectations for what life ought to be, I can be still

I'd like to share something. I know there is not one solution for all but perhaps it works for others as well. After decades of severe anxiety and doubt. Watching my life happen in a dark matrix of my own making. One day I just said a few words. One sentence, I don't know where it came from, nor do I need to know. Words I say everytime I start to think or feel in a negative way. Instantly I literally feel positivity flowing through me. I have to use the words less and less. It's simply. 'do not feed the monster'.

If you loose someone or something, you were really attached to, anxiety dissolves. And suddenly you are there in the Now. And you can stay with it, because there is no more future, you want to go to. Just appreciating and enjoying the little things in the Now - that’s what life is all about.

From 9min. in this video on life and living in the moment of LIFE. My book had a sentence: use your brain, listen o your heart, and live with mission. Referring to that, The Dalai Lama gave me a foreword for that book (Results from the Heart), while also pointing that we need to connect to heart while we use our brain. That is precisely the point Tolle talk after 9 min into the video which is alignment of our existence/ life with LIFE. Since we get too occupied in what goes in our mind, such act of connection between brain and heart - or life and LIFE poses a challenge for most of us... At the end, it is execution for each to find a way...
