I have been following Eckhart Tolle for a long time, but only recently have his teachings stimulated profound changes within me. I confess that I was afraid of these changes, however they are freeing me from all the useless suffering created by my mind. Freedom from yourself is priceless and life is much more enjoyable when I don't feel the need to please my ego all the time. 🙏🏻

So true. For a long time I felt scared of changing, the void beyond my thinking felt unbearable. I have progressed but it still feels scary. It's so much more familiar and safe in a weird way to continue having the same reactions. But now I am very aware of them. I hope next step will be letting go of them despite the fear of jumping into the void.

I actually first thought it was my comment and saw your username! I have the exact same thing. Today I got an email from a neighbor about the level of my music and I handled it in such a way that the last email from her was hearts, thank you’s and wishing me more enjoyment of my music and appreciating my understanding re their crying baby. It’s these shifts in how I interact with people and even manage to have positive outcomes from initial complaints. I’m listening to Eckhart daily for many weeks now with most impact though became familiar with him 2 decades ago.

I find it interesting how he says ‘because my income was low’ rather than ‘becuase I was broke/poor/had no money’. He doesn’t use those negative or judgemental words, just objectively describes the situation and therefore difuses the negativity that comes with it. Profound

I’ve tried to read The Power of Now for many years but never succeeded because I didn’t understand the concept and the concept even felt overwhelming and “boring”. But now after many years of being truly fed up with my own mind I read it fully, twice, and it is changing me. I make it a habit to read a little bit every day until his teachings truly stick with me. It’s an intense ride that will wake you up and shake you around like nothing else, while at the same time bringing you peace and freedom like nothing else. I truly believe that his teachings will resonate only with the people who are ready and as he says himself, you have to be truly fed up with your own mind and pain. Keep staying aware of your ego, because trust me your ego will creep up and try to convince you that the old familiar way is the best way and “oh it’s not so bad to live the way I’ve always lived”. This is your ego convincing you because it’s scared to die and will do anything to win you over. If you stay aware and when those feelings come up that makes you want to identify with your mind and your ego and appearance etc. remember all his teachings. Breathe, let go of the mind, become aware of the now, feel your body. Before you know it, you’ll be reminded of why you stay on this path. 🩷

Wonderfully said! Sending you positive energy 🙏🏻 I resonate deeply with this. I started the Power of Now in 2019 and felt the profoundness of it and would read it occasionally and then came back to it in 2020 about 8-9 months after. It all made sense and hit me very profoundly. Me life has changed so much since reading it it feels like a dream thinking of my past “self”. The discarding process of the ego was difficult at first but every day and second the momentum became stronger and stronger to the point it felt natural and light. Keep going! You’re on a beautiful path and you have vibrant momentum 💛

I started homeschooling them last year and they are now thriving but unfortunately my hours to work are limited. I suffered a heart attack two years ago and Im battling lupus Lord I’m overwhelmed please heal me and give me strength. As I struggle to pay my rent each month and as I struggle to buy groceries. Cool story💫: Yesterday I had a bit of an unpleasant experience where someone did a rude act and crossed my boundaries in a group. At that moment, I didn't feel enough space within myself to react and address the person. Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but the context made it a bit more difficult because I didn't want to create a scene or drama with just one person in a group. Then someone in the group said, "You're tired, huh? You've become quieter.." I also dropped my wallet with cards in it. I became a bit clumsier. Then I caught myself in a negative thought spiral about myself. After becoming aware of that, I could be more present again, but it still bothered me when I left. On the way in the car, I checked within myself what I could have done better. My intuition told me that it was good that I didn't react immediately and that the situation might be a gift in disguise. Still, it lingered in my energy field somewhere. I woke up early in the morning and decided to pray to God about what I should do about it. Shortly after, I fell asleep, and then I dreamt the following: I dreamt that I was in a small building where Eckhart Tolle would give a speech. The church was already full of visitors, and I was there by myself. Just as Eckhart entered, he walked past me, stopped, and looked at me with a gentle but penetrating gaze. He asked me how I was. I answered, "It's okay." Then he was silent for a moment, looked at me even more intensely with his bright blue eyes and enormous presence, and said, "Don't feel submissive." I am an adult man, but I started crying like a little child. In my dream, I still remembered the situation from the previous evening (which had really happened). I immediately knew that in some moments, I still put myself in a position where I don't fully stand in my true power. Eckhart reassured me at that moment and sat down. Then a man in black with long dark black hair came. From his characteristics, you could see that he liked to meddle in other people's affairs. He approached me and spoke to me. Immediately, I felt this ego/pride mode in his way of talking. I don't remember exactly what he said, but it came down to him invading my space and being annoying. Then I said directly in an authoritative manner, "Man, shut the f* up. I don't have the space and time for this now. Sit away from me, okay?" Immediately, he left. (Maybe not entirely loving or zen, but I did assert my boundary immediately. I really had no room for his nonsense.) I said that apparently very loudly because while this happened, Eckhart had just started addressing the audience, and now everything fell silent. The whole room looked at me. Eckhart now looked at me with a strong, present, but also proud gaze and smiled.(not an egoic way, more like that nodding bearded man meme😂) He said out loud to me and the audience that some people are sometimes deeply entangled in patterns, and you must be able to react from presence, but it doesn't necessarily have to be gentle or submissive. Also not hateful or triggered. Just present. When I woke up, I felt the clear message and immediately said, "Okay, got the message.. Thank You!” It was clear that God or the Universe communicated through the symbol of Eckhart Tolle in my dream, indicated that I needed to carry that confidence. In moments of lovelessness, I need to stand for what leads to the most peace from a place of presence. The dream went on for a bit longer, but this was the essence. I hadn't watched anything from Eckhart Tolle in a while, but after waking up from the dream, I looked up the most recent video of Eckhart, and it was this video titled "Confidence and Trusting in Yourself." That felt like a beautiful confirmation of how the universe is always there for us, providing guidance, and that there is wisdom in silence and within ourselves when we ask for it.🌝🌝

Thank you so much for sharing this story! What's important is not what you say to the annoying man (which is a just form) at that moment, but your experience of that connection with your inner being.

@@JessMaccainI am not sure if in real life (unlike this dream) swearing wouldn't pull you back into a less present state. Also, it would more likely provoke an unpleasant reaction from the other person which again would state a bigger challenge for you remaining your inner presence. However, if you were fully present, then this all doesn't really matter. On the other hand, why then using swear words. Just my thoughts.

Such a simple but profound revelation. Thank you so much Eckhart for all. I sometimes have nightmares about the harm people can inflict & awake with fear & dread. I have come to feel more safe keeping a distance. This teaching has helped me understand this. I do sometimes feel the benevolence that comes presence but this is so hard to maintain when you see the ego games & drama that arise often with power and manipulation, need for control. In and on it goes. If ones disengages at this point one is often accused of being "crazy or weird." May presence prevail. With gratitude & kindness for all your teachings and the calm, soothing equanimity that emanates from you as source that equates with truth.

I noticed that inherently dishonest people don't trust anyone because they think everyone's like they are, whereas genuinely honest people tend to trust everyone and are called gullible for it. Vulnerable too, because they have the faith to trust first at the risk of being hurt first. I find, honesty leads to trust, and trust leads to faith, however in order to have faith, one must resign themselves to being vulnerable first.

I pass my deep gratitude to Mr. Tolle, for being kind and gracious enough to lend his energies towards the cause of human-awakenment. It is, as he said, such a vital teaching, which could be said to yet catch on for a greater number of people. Conscious human-beings make for pleasant human-beings, for a better experience of existence. These teachings are life-changing; and as I grow aware of that, deep gratitude flows towards the source of it, indeed, the source of it all. Thank you, Mr. Tolle :)

16:05 Human being is wonderful. The human and the being come together. Forms and the formless essence come together. Identify shifts from the human to the being. That's awakening spiritually. It's more comfortable to be you, and be around you. Thanks Eckhart. 8 November 2023.⛳🤩🍁🦅🦋😎🤡🍒😂🌎🌎🦅

YES!! Ive listened to E.T for many years but 17:47- through the end FINALLY HIT HOME WITH ME! ' THE TRANSCENDENT HUMAN BEING IS MUCH MORE PLEASANT FOR OTHER HUMANS TO BE AROUND'😮. I have been much more aware how my critical spirit sorely hurts my LOVED ONES..Its my old egoic habit that was normal in my upbringing, but I AM TRANSCENDING IT WITH MY AWARENESS... THANKS TO E.T.'s PROFOUND WISDOM TEACHINGS❤❤❤

What a rocker of a journey. In my early teens I ran around with others in my own age, acting out the joy of getting enlightent after every person read the same book at he same time and we had actual things to discuss. In these days . Astonished and to be alive in one of humanity´s greatest challenge and that Eckhart came along to remind us what really is important. Take care, everybody out there in cyberspace...

This might be my favorite video of Eckhart Tolle. I never thought that my principles/feelings/beliefs could be explained satisfactorily. Out of presence flows trust, trust is faith, benevolence does not come from constructs of judgment based on unconsciousness in self or others. So good. Loving kindness outflow of goodwill towards contact with others is presence, energetic connection
