Upsetting Her Mother

Ойын-сауық

The plaintiff says the defendant is her daughter, and she abandoned her own mother at an apartment they rented and left her on the hook. She’s suing for rent and a loan. The defendant says her mother owes her for bills and food, not the other way around.

I hate when a son/daughter feel like their parents owe them something smh. I am 34 years old and a parent of 3 children. I have 15 year old, 12 year old and a 10 month old. The last time I asked my mother for money was 11 years ago! She's gifted me things for my birthday and I would try to hand it back and she would get so upset lol. Even yelled at me in front of customers in a clothing store because I wouldn't let her pay for my things lol!!!! It was very embarrassing and customers laughed. So I let her pay lol. Even ungrateful kids can be and are results of bad parenting as well. It takes actually caring for, nurturing, and disciplining your children to get a well rounded, respectful adult. Some parents just give into their kids every whim and it leads to them not having to learn to appreciate things and ppl. That isn't to say the daughter isn't an ungrateful indecent person, but there's still some blame to place on the parents

Everyone knows that if your parent (especially your mom), says, “Forget about it. Ion even want it,” she doesn’t mean it 😂. The daughter seemingly has a very blunt, aloof and to the point personality and it shows in how she articulates and deals with conflict. Nothing wrong with it, but she’s gotta learn to take responsibility and accountability for her actions.

My daughter lives rent free as she does so much for me and I wanted her to save as much as possible so she can get her own foot on the property ladder! I will never ask for rent/food/bills etc. as long as they are not abusing the home (which they never have). I want them to have every chance to buy their own home.

What are you talking about? Divorce is ALWAYS the answer. I’m so grateful my parents divorced and both are the happiest they’ve ever been. I have coworkers that spent 10-15 years married, to end up getting a divorce and finding their true love right after and wishing they would have ended it sooner. Divorce is way healthier for the kids. No kid wants to see their parents being miserable in the same household, it’s torture

I love when people go "I wouldn't sue because family is family and family doesn't do that." But in the meantime the hypothetical family member borrowed money from you and never paid you back for it. If that person doesn't think of you as family enough to make sure you don't get into a financial mess and pay you back, why shouldn't you consider them not family enough to sue them for what you're owed?
