I am 34 years clean and a certain smell or activity can still trigger that craving in me. I purposefully avoid that contact as much as possible. My number one trigger is the smell of ether. But, it is my responsibility as an addict to remove myself from that temptation. I agree with the defendant, though, in asking the plaintiff to just not smoke in his vicinity. It's just a matter of respect, not all of this religious hogwash.
