I generally don't do unboxing videos, so on the recommendation of Discord members, I did something a little different! If you want to dive in deeper, don't forget there's a video that goes into more depth on the 2nd channel BUILD2. kzread.info/dash/bejne/n3mH15WGYa-udKg.html Also you know the drill, like and subscribe to help me grow the channel. That way we can do more cool stuff. Thanks for all the support on Patreon, without it there's no way I could have done a project like this that isn't likely to get a ton of views. But I think it's super fun and educational so I'm still doin' it! Who knows, maybe it will surprise me. 😁 Quint

it's because you're awesome, my dude. you do fairly complex projects, that includes basically ALL of the goalposts, setbacks, and troubleshootings, and messups along the way. a lot of youtubes do big projects but don't show their work. so it doesn't feel as easy to follow along. I appreciate that you take me with you along your adventure to some semblance of success. Above all, and beyond everything else, have fun. if it's not fun for you, if it becomes "Work" re evaluate. either change, or stop, but it won't be the same. you are not beholden to your viewers for meaningfulness in life. either we all benefit from your effort, or nobody should. "So I hope you are having fun!"

At 5:57 the peak voltages should be more like ~170v. 110v (or 120v) is the RMS not the peak. That said good job creatively opening the package!

Great unboxing video! Somewhere I've seen people back running single phase induction motors to generate power from small scale hydro. I have a spare motor you could use to test this mothod out if it interests you. Happy to see you succeeding in the community, congrats from a fellow Beaverton resident.

Can you please answer this question? would it be possible to scale up a wind up clock to create a wind up generator to power a house. Maybe some big metal box that sits outside and either wind it up by hand, gas motor, or solar or wind.

A vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT) Can thrive at Very Low wind Speeds and they Thrive in the turbulent Air Zone (close to Ground, Objects, Trees & Buildings) Even Horizontal (Flat) on the Ground they don't care and they make use of the wind Twice and they like cross winds (Cyclone Gusts) Some of the DIY3 meters by 3 meters 6 meters Tall Vortexis & Square cage Fans - made With Curved PVC Rain gutters (Air con blower fans) can do 1KW ~ upto 10KW (With Converted And Magnet Upgraded Direct drive Washing machine 3 Phase motor) Nice thing With VAWT They can Be built Vertical (Tower) or Horizontal (Ground Flat)

Next, make your own "high frequency" generator that isnt so reliant on engine rpm. Whether it's done with a CVT clutch, or home built fancy electronics. That'll be a real interesting video.

5:56 it’s not +110 or -110, you are talking about peak, nor rms. It is confusing but with 120vrms, you get 170v peak and 340v peak to peak. Still cool video!
