I was a sergeant in the 82nd airborne and they look great. 5 weeks doesn't seem like a long time, but when it's condensed training, you do start to see results after even a few weeks. Their motivation is great to see, especially knowing that they will face intense combat. That they are able to confront that fear directly (and every soldier certainly feels fear) , is just astonishing. I would be proud to have them next to me.

Thank you, Spain, for teaching the survival skills and disciplines to the Ukrainians. The Allies have made their chances of becoming good soldiers for their country and surviving to see the victory better.

Being spanish myself I would be ashamed if Spain wouldn't help in the degree of our possibilities. Many many people in Spain thank to all countries helping and contributing to this cause. Specially USA, UK, Poland and baltic countries. But I dont forget there are many more there. It feels good to look back at history and see how, after many wars between us, western european countries have been finally able to live in peace in comunion. But seing goverments like the Russian not sharing that vision is what Ukraine is fighting against. We have to support this. Best of the lucks to the young guys that will go back to the front. and thank you all. Specially to Ukraine

No matter what the final outcome the goal of depopulating Ukraine has already been achieved. Half have fled and the remainder that are beyond child bearing age will vanish by attrition. Excelente! 🇪🇸 🇺🇦 225 Ukrainians arrived in mid January. 198 of who are civilians with no military experience. The 2nd group to undergo training. The first being 64, trained in November/December. The 20+ non civilian Ukrainians are training on the Hawk Air Defense System's 6 launchers of which Spain has handed over to Ukraine. Gracias España! 🇺🇲 🇪🇸 🇺🇦

Great to know that Spain is helping these Ukrainian training in the military to learn how to fight the Russians before they are sent to the Frontline. Hopefully more NATO member state offer this kind of training to the new recruits it's much better than training inside Ukraine. More volunteers needed I guess as the Russians are planning to mobilize half a millon for the new wave of attack they're planning and Ukraine should be ready for this whether it's accurate or not. 🇪🇸España desde el comienzo ayudo a Ucrania desde ayudas humanitarias con cargamento de alimentos y cosas , como también la ayuda de migración de Ucranianos a España ,también desde el comienzo a dado armamento y ayuda de capacitación armamento y batalla a Ucranianos aquí en España 🇪🇸. Sadly it is only a very few hundred soldiers in training. It should be thousands like in the UK. The current Spanish Government has been draging its feet since the war started. Spain sent AMELI light machine guns that are defective because of an incorrect manufacturing procedure and substandard steel. The pre-production prototypes were excelent.

Toledo holds the Infantry Academy of Spain, most infanteymen hold their training there if I recall correctly

It is the Infantry Academy of Toledo, hundreds of soldiers pass through it every year for their training as officers. Spain was the first country to use professional infantry soldiers in 1534, and the one that created the marine infantry in 1537. The Spanish infantry It has always been tough and self-sacrificing. The Ukrainians will have good teachers.

But I didn't had the pleasure of doing it, I was a spanish marine and the naval academies are in Cartagena and San Fernando, in Cadiz, where is the Escuela de Infanteria de Marina. The instruction of spanish marines is very very serius, but in Toledo infantry academy can be at the same level. Just depends of your final destiny. If you are going to be in the airborne brigade or the Legion, the instruction will be really hard.

De Marina y cualquier otro tipo de especialidad harán su entrenamiento básico en su CEFOT correspondiente y el específico en su unidad que son parte del ET. Armada y EA no tengo mucha idea. Eso sí, nada como nuestros infantes, Legión, Paracas o Marines, la mejor infanteria del mundo siempre será la española. Pistolos todo y todas. Un saludo compañero!

Esta no es nuestra guerra. ¿Te crees que si estamos en guerra con Marruecos los ucranianos nos van a dar pasta, armamento, municiones y un largo etcétera? ¿ Te crees que habrían hecho lo mismo por nosotros? Like I was when I joined to the spanish marines in October 2021, just after see in TV the 9-11 terrorists attacks. When I was in the Marine Brigade, in Tercio de Armada, I was deployed in Herat in 2003 at the age of 20. Is not heart breaking, it is heart and mind determination to fight against terror. In 2004 after another deployment this time in Irak, until the end of the spanish mission due to political decisions, I went to a unit more quiet, to study and prepare myself to be a COP (Guardia Civil). In 2009 I finished my criminalistic career and I could join to the Guardia Civil a few monts later. What I've done in the past has made me the person I am, the family father, the cop....and all begun when I was 18 years old. God bless NATO, God bless Europe, God bless Spain and.... SLAVA UKRAINE!!!!🇪🇸🤝🏻🇺🇦🤝🏻🇪🇺

@@karlgreenkgv Pero a ti te habían adiestrado y formado para eso, la mayoría de ucranianos que están en el frente han empezado a usar un arma hace pocos meses. Y como sabes, las fuerzas otan os desplegasteis en Irak, cuando todo lo gordo lo limpiaron antes los USA. El chavalín de 20 años que ahora está en una trinchera aterrorizado, tiene 100 veces más posibilidades de morir que tú.

Spaniards are willing to help. Just be careful because or government is just helping the minimun they can so they dont look like they dont help NATO, so it trains soldiers to avoid sending too much military aid.

@@willy92wins Nope, Ceuta and Melilla is not protected by OTAN countries, so if Morocco invades this cities, Spain has no support.

It’s great that NATO and other nations are training Ukrainian soldiers to NATO standards but they can and should ramp up that training. US, NATO and others should aim to graduate at least 5-10 battalions a month (about 5,000-10,000 troops). They should long term be training hundreds of Ukrainian army instructors so they have the ability to train tens of thousands more on their own.

God, they're so young. We have our children defending our democracies...

Since the beginning of the invasion, Spain has sent quite a bit of material: medicines, food, a military ambulance, anti-tank grenade launchers, bulletproof vests, the SAM HAWK anti-aircraft defense system, and now they are checking and maintaining the Leopard 2A4s that are going to be sent to Ukraine....and many Ukrainian relatives who are refugees in Spain have also received shelter

También se envió un sistema antiaéreo Aspide y creo que también varias piezas de artillería light gun 105mm Oto Melara pero esto último no sé si se a enviado o está a la espera de enviar

La noticia es de infodefensa que son fiables y se trataría de 8 piezas de 105mm Oto Melara y ya estarían en servicio en el ejército ucraniano. Según la noticia cuando estuvieron instruyendo a los ucranianos en los sistemas antiaéreos Hawk y Aspide parte de ese contingente ucraniano fue instruido en estos obuses ligeros de 105mm porque tenían la intención de donarles varias piezas. Un saludo

The first words of the ukrainian recruit at 1:20 is perfect example of good training , Physicaly and mentally that alone will make all the difference . Train hard under pressure and the reality will become much easier .

In other similar NATO trainings, for example in Mali, the troops trained by Spain have a much higher survival rate, and this can only surprise people who have no idea how the Spanish army works, which makes a huge Emphasis on infantry, other armies such as the American, British, French, etc. have great deficiencies in this sense. When you have enormous technological superiority, you make soldiers very dependent on armored vehicles, air support, etc., that also makes them vulnerable and less dependent. . The Spanish army is much better at training infantry than other countries. And not only infantry, in the ALA14 of Zaragoza (Spain) they train many NATO pilots. In the NATO armored maneuvers in Latvia, the Spanish were in first position, Spain has war in its blood and anyone who knows the Spanish army knows it.

Amazing Support from all the Countries assisting Ukraine which is Unprecedented. The trainees are all so young, and many are women. As this war drags on, and Ruzzia continues recruiting thousands of convicts and mercenaries from around the world, I wonder if Ukraine will eventually run out of combat troops. So many soldiers and civilians are dying every day. They certainly need the world's help. Thank you, Spain, for doing your part.

Well, Ukrainians may be smaller in numbers, but they are much more motivated and deadly. They suffer huge losses, but those are not compareable to Russian losses...

As a Spanish who is a direct descendant of Volodimir I and Jaroslaw The Wise, i am glad that Spain is training this glorious heroes, now 20 M113 are on its way to Ukraine, 20 Leopard2a4 are almost ready to go and we are trying to convince Switzerladn to ket us send Oerlikon 35 mm Anti Aerial Radar Guided guns. I dont know if our Ukraine Brothers are aware, but DNA toponimes and historical redords prove that The Spanish Peope have MASSIVE Dna inherited from The Ukraine steep people (Scythians, YAmmna, Cimmerian) and Crimean (Taurians) The Celts and Iberians which came to spain were natives from those places. Ukraine is fighting not only to defend Ukraine. It is defending Western democracies against further Russian aggression. If the West had sent Ukraine the arms it needed, the war would already have been over.

This is exactly true, on both points: fighting for all democracies and the unproductively slow trickle of weapon systems. I wish more people, especially Western politicians could understand this simple logic.
