NO JUSTICE NO PEACE

I can not say in words how sad and sorry I am. I will always pray.

I'm overwhelmed with emotion. The homegoing service for Tyre Nichols definitely touched my heart. Crying throughout the ceremony brought memories back to a time when our people seemed so bonded together for our civil rights. Starting with Tiffany Rochelle, the mother of a slain son who sang with heartfelt compassion "Total Praise,' to the choir who also sang wonderfully. The speakers spoke encouraging words of hopes for change; however, I could feel Rev. Sharpton's message the most. I too was in the era when activist strongly fought for our civil rights with bodily harm and sometimes death. It never dawned on me that Memphis was the same place where Dr. King was slain until today because I was so into the circumstances that occurred to Tyre, this should be a wakeup call to us all but I'm sure others recognize it like Rev. Sharpton bought it to my attention. I pray those BRUTAL COPS & their families tuned in to this message. WHAT A REPRIMAND! Rev. Sharpton has always been on point in showing support for the rights of the mistreated, abused & the violated and Mr. Ben Crump as well. I care not to hear ANYTHING negative about Rev. Sharpton because he has stood the test of time in the midst of these trials and deaths alongside Mr. Crump & I want to send my THANK YOU. I will say that even in this situation God is indeed good. He allowed this to happen for His reason, but will we get it, will we see it, or will the reason be overlooked and missed again? I'm trying right now to see the lesson to be learned from this horrible event & I pray my eyes will be opened to the truth so I may share it with others. How long will it take for the hearts of men to see that we are "supposed" to be our brother's keeper but appears as though we are too stiff-necked & selfish. Nothing & nobody means anything unless it's glamorous, hipped or fashionable. We spend millions of dollars on celebrities glorifying & bringing them wealth & fortune, putting them on pedal stools & trying to keep up with the Jones' but care not to give anything physically or financially for a worthy cause. There's a misconception of life! How long will this go on? The majority of the new generation is moving farther away from God & His standards as has previous generations. I sit back and imagine what the world will be like once these trailblazers and the OGs are gone. But then I remember that God always has a ram in the bush. His promises are true & His Words will not return to Him void. So, I'm thankful for the younger generation who has heard the call and taken the baton to run this race in continuing to fight on behalf of all that is evil and wrong, even fighting for those who don't care. I pray the wisdom and strength of God will give them the courage to fight the "good fight of faith" and that they will receive rewards for their labor and efforts! I'm still sending out prayers on behalf Tyre's family and friends. May God continue to bless you with comfort, console and strengthen you during your time of bereavement and in the coming days ahead, amen.

so was I, black people are some really beautiful people and the thought of dr. King lay down for the same city for people to have city jobs that that young man wasn't that far from really bought me to tears 😢❤️👑🙏🏾🙏🏾

Sharpton "hit the nail on the head" when he made his statement that these officers came from the very heart of a city where Dr. King lost his life trying to bring about change for us all. What he sacrificed seems to have gone in vain, & for the officers to conduct themselves in this manner is embarrassing & shameful to us as a people. Dr. King's dream has without a doubt been DEFERRED. Black History is taught at least once a year in American schools, didn't they learn of this? It shows me they have no regard for the lives of black people, that they thought of themselves as "entitled" & perhaps thought because they were officers, they could get away with POLICE BRUTATILITY, I'm sure they have done this before as reports of others are now coming in. I believe those reports & I also believe NOTHING would have been done if it wasn't for the video recordings. It shows me that those in top authority were allowing these incidents to slide, they only addressed the issue because of the public outcry & because it put a BIG stain on the police department & city officials reputation. But I'm GLAD & HAPPY they were exposed, & I hope they are sued to the utmost & held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. Dr. King & others are TURNING over, no SPINNING in their graves! 👮🏽‍♂👮🏽‍♂👮🏽‍♂👮🏽‍♂👮🏽‍♂😤

My heart goes out to the family because my son was murdered. That is the most painful feeling a mother have to buried her son/ daughter because of a evil jealous people's. This really touched my heart because I know the feeling all so well. When your child is taken from you it leave a hole in your heart for life 😢😢

Police brutality is not only used against the black citizens of our country. My dear friend lost her white son to police brutality it's sad no matter what color you may be and it shouldn't happen. They shot her son 13 times and all he had was a small knife and ptsd from serving in Afghanistan. I do believe whatever is dark will be brought to the light. What happened to Tyre was a travesty, an innocent man just trying to get home! God bless this family. I've seen what happens to a mother who loses her son and it's life changing and far from what should've been! My friend will never be the same she lost part of her life that day too.
