My heart absolutely breaks for these parents. Anybody who has a son can put themselves in their shoes and imagine this happening, and the pain and horror cuts to the deepest place of a parent's heart. Too bad she didn’t teach Tyre to comply with all LE. Had he not taken off from the cops on foot he would be alive today. It doesn’t stop the Mamas pain but until all the evidence is out, as the videos I’ve watched show a different story, & definitely of someone not complying from the word go, and then when they caught up with him, he dearly paid for it.

She’s such a beautiful and elegant woman. When I heard her son yell “Mom,” my heart broke for her. As a mother myself, this is heart wrenching. I know she would have wanted to be there to protect him from this brutal evil. Justice for Tyre ❤

I agree. Everyone who was present should be charged. Those who beat Tyre, those who didn't intervene and those who didn't render aid should be charged. Everyone present stood behind the blue wall of silence and watched Tyre suffer and the life leave him. Tyre was perfectly healthy an hour ago.

As a married black father to 2 young boys, every single one of the dozens of black men, women, and children's lives that cops have erased from this world (and the hundreds more in the last decade, and the HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS since the slavery and Jim Crow era) even as a college educated military veteran, I can't guarantee the same thing won't happen to me or anyone in my family until the entire policing system gets a full overhaul from top to bottom. I'm amazed at how strong his parents are. I don't have kids but hearing him screaming for his mom broke my heart, I can only image what that poor woman is feeling. No one deserve this. This lovely momma... when talking about her son towards the end, she just lit up, all smiles, glowing, telling the world what she will miss about her son...which is EVERYTHING!!! My heart hurts for this family. When will these damn animals realize it's a damn new day, and you can no longer murder our citizens for fun. It's just unfathomable that this continues to happen. I'm so sorry to this family.

Until proven guilty in court of law you have the right to bail. I less deemed a flight risk everyone gets a bond. Everyone can see video and know they're guilty but we have to go thru court process which will take at least a year possibly more. They'll get there's hopefully on streets while out on bond before they get a luxury pc prison cell i hope.

Black parents live with fear of their black sons being beaten or shot by black cops?? Or is the fear of White cops beating or shooting their black sons. This is the first instance of black man beaten or shot by black cops. All the black on black crimes in Chicago, New Orleans, Atlanta never make national news. The media is reporting this “Black man beaten by Memphis police dies 3 days later”, no mention the officers race. Why not? Because the media is leaving it the viewer to assume the cops were White. That’s because the only time national news media reports these stories is when a White cop beats or shoots a black man. They keep trying to racism alive. This is an unfortunate event that a black guy resisting arrest and fleeing is the caught and beaten by black cops. Another criminal has become the victim of his own actions. Crump the racist ambulance chaser stated “ we heard a White cop was involved and we want to know why this White cop ain’t being charged along with the 5 cops already charged” why not say along with the 5 black officers being charged?? Because everything has to be racially based for these people to exist.

I’m so sorry she had to endure this. My heart hurts for her. May God give her comfort and peace. May her son rest in peace!

What an amazing family - beautiful people. Deeply felt condolences. May justice be delivered for a man we did not know before his murder but whom we will never forget.

As a parent I can't imagine the heartbreak. Condolences to the family.

There is no words of comfort I could possibly say. My prayers to the family of this senseless act of violence. An unbelievable example of Grace for mom to ask for a no violence in the name of her son following the release of the videos. I hope and pray this sends a cry out to America that our entire law enforcement system needs a complete overhaul and it needs to happen yesterday! My heart hurts for this wonderful family and there loss.

My heart bleeds for this family and their horrific loss. I pray that the Lord can offer them peace and the midst of this horrific tragedy. Every single one of these officers deserve to spend the rest of their lives in prison. I cannot even hear the horrific details or watch the horrific video for more than a second without tears pouring out of my face. What a horrific tragedy this is and how Brave these parents are to continue the work that their son has started

They are so amazingly strong and graceful. To be so stoic in a moment of such devastation. My thoughts are with you and Tyre. Justice for Tyre. 😢

I was teaching class when the videotapes were released. When I heard that her son - 29 year old man screamed out for her I had to catch my breath. In that moment, I visualized my son doing the same. My empathy for this eloquent woman filled my heart. I knew I couldn’t and wouldn’t watch the violence perpetrated against her son. While not Tyre’s mother my being was void of emotion and all I felt was intense pain. Prayers for the family. Rest in heavenly peace Tyre. Justice is what is needed.

I don't have to imagine I know. I lost my only child, my son. I understand how these parents feel. I continue to feel. There has to be a different strategy. This cannot continue. Change has to come. God bless this family. Tyre, R.I.P.
