Memphis BLM Activist: Tyre Nichols's Killing Is Part of Police Brutality Crisis for Black Residents
Amid nationwide protests, prosecutors charge five former Memphis police officers with murder in the death of Tyre Nichols, who died January 10 of kidney failure and cardiac arrest after a vicious beating three days earlier during a traffic stop. Memphis and other cities across the U.S. are expecting mass protests against police violence, with body-camera footage of the deadly traffic stop set to be released Friday evening. We go to Memphis for an update from community organizer Amber Sherman, a member of the Memphis chapter of Black Lives Matter, who says police brutality is nothing new for many residents. "It's literally just being caught on camera," Sherman says. "We have experienced this same kind of violence over and over and over again in our communities."

When we tried to report to internal affairs, the department refuse to put on writing our complaints, and the police Chief Muolo. Keep deaf ears to o ur complaints, and the municipal Judge George Cieri, was a piece o c.... working for the corrupt system and ignoring the innocents, who were accused of false and bogus charges.

ANY police officer violating this penal code should mean they immediately lose their Qualified Immunity, which also needs to be taught to all police cadets in a very strict way, as a part of police training. If you violate a person's civil or constitutional rights, you're finished. Period. If you're a government worker, you work for the public and are therefore a public servant. @ShadovvV

@@trophyscene5015 - Well, there's still a difference between a Communist country like North Korea and a Free country like the USA. True, we don't live in an authoritarian dictatorship and those Korean public servants may seem like nice people, but if they were told to put all first born male children into a blender, they would have to follow the orders or it would mean their own skin. Incidentally, they must all listen to daily orders through a radio system and they also have a weekly ceremony where they must all weep before a statue of their 'dear leaders'. If you don't shed a tear, you're seen as being disgraceful. So there's a different moral structure to take into consideration as well. Think of it like the peak of Socialism where the bread doesn't wait for you, rather you wait in line for the bread instead. It's the reverse of Capitalism or a Capitalist system like in the USA. So again, not only a different moral structure, but political too. Basically, either you be nice or you pay the price.. and by price I mean the alternative is hte person could face life in a work camp or they could get the firing squad. In the USA though, it isn't that extreme. You be nice and not act like a tyrant, not because you're under force to do so, but because it's your duty as a public servant. Simple. Just don't be an idiot. Be kind, be polite and do your job. Period. On the other hand, if someone wants to be a violent a-hole, then we can take it up a notch. Other than that, free speech. Say whatever you want, but just watch where you put your hands. No hands on. That's the rule. A weapon only in case of fear of death or bodily harm. Otherwise, hands off. That means tasers as well. Use only your words unless someone goes hands on. If they touch you, then it's a mistake. That's the rule. No hands on.

@@garyangelone9953 - I get your point.. and the US does have a lot more serious issues with things like too many chemicals in the foods and whatever else, I totally agree. Those things probably do kill more than anything else, especially food additives, sodiums, neurological flavor enhancers, preservatives, etc.. which have gotten far more deadly than almost anything right now and definitely killing more than police ever would. However, as for the legal system in the US or 'simply' being arrested, let's just say that giving an inch would lead to authority eventually taking a mile.. and in a lot of ways, they already have. So that's why there's something in place called Due Process, which prevents police from being the Judge/Jury and Executioner on the street. Without it, we'd have a full blown dictatorship with Nazis running around executing people in the back of the head for whatever they think is a good reason. Not gonna happen I'm afraid.. and if ever did get close to that, there would be a bloodbath the likes of which the media couldn't even ever handle because it would be at their own back door as well. Nope, this isn't N.Korea.. or Canada where they disarmed everyone either.. and it wont be, but rather this is the place where the founding fathers came, who were seen as outlaws escaping from the tyranny of the British monarchy. This is where they ended up. That's why they created the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. That's what your dealing with. Time to dig up those old history books. Bet your life on it.. they wont be going down without total Armageddon. It's not gonna happen in this lifetime.
