My Grandson is of mixed heritage, black, Italian, and Mexican,and I cannot imagine how I would feel if this happened in my family. And I do worry about this. I pray this never touches our family. Why won’t anyone talk about dealing with the source of the problem? Why is everyone afraid to talk about requiring police to carry their own individual liability / malfeasance insurance. If your behavior history is such that you can’t be insured, then you can’t work as a police officer. It’s just that simple. Petition your local and state government to implement this policy. Write and call your Congressman and Senators and tell them to create and implement this policy.

We don't know what prior experiences this man had with police that made him run. Not everyone's experience with police is a good one. Watch the KZread videos. The TN Police Chief said she saw NO reason why Tyree was pulled over from the video. According to the Chief there was no reason he was pulled over except to harass him.

Officers place their hands on a bible for swearing in, but many do not read nor do they have a personally relationship with the God of the bible for guidance. Are you a homeowner or a tax payer? Look around your community. Are your streets being properly maintained? Are your schools lacking? Do you have clean and well maintained Parkers? The money used to maintain these facilities come from the same piggy bank your city uses to settle law suits of millions of dollars for claims created by police misconduct and police malfeasance. If police officers were required to carry their own liability / malfeasance insurance, these settlement would not affect your local city budgets. Also, it would make it virtually impossible for these bad actors to become officers of the law. 👮

This mother and community should not be trying to get a law passed....when we have the law " police " breaking the law. Being a police officer in itself is an admission of violence. A police officer is an offensive position. They approach people and investigate. That is an offensive actor.

To Mr. Crump I love the work you doing for Tyreese Nichols family and for so many others ,I just want to include the fact that some things was not seen but one of the police officers wrapped the taser wir or something around Ty neck and that was not seen in street cam unless you slow it down to speed 0.5 and start watchin it at 1.50 please look at it it shows a lot of what went on the taser wire was tangled up thats why all of the was over him after the cuff was put on him trying to untangle the wire please look at it!!!!Thanking you in advance

Officers charged with crimes should receive maximum sentence every time. They took an oath to uphold the law that should have drastic consequences for those who fail to uphold their oath.

I'm glad he mentioned the difference between the black officers and the white officers. He was absolutely right. If they can move that swiftly when black officers commit a crime against a citizen, then they can certainly move that swiftly when white officers commit a crime against a citizen. Wrong is wrong, no matter who you are.
