Two Of The World's BEST Acoustic Players In One Room! | Guitar Village
Музыка
When two of the best guitar players in the world come through the front door, it would be rude to not let them have free rein of the video room!! The result is some of the best music to grace the four walls of Guitar Village in quite some time. We've already been so fortunate to have had Australian legend, Tommy Emmanuel join us on the channel before and what a treat it is to welcome him back this time with another guitar playing great, Mike Dawes! These two really are the perfect complement to one another's playing style and are real pair of gentlemen!

For decades Guitar Village has been assisting guitar players throughout the UK and over the world (from the novice to celebrity players) find their dream guitar.
A fantastic range of low interest finance options now help the guitarist find the correct guitar for them without the price tag being an issue by spreading the instalments into easily manageable interest free payments. There’s nothing we love more than allowing a player of the past to re-live their passion by starting up again, but this time with the guitar they always wanted but could never afford.
Guitar Village is based in Surrey, UK and serves customers within its beautiful old building on West Street Farnham and via our online guitar shop.
Farnham is on the borders of Surrey and Hampshire, and only 45 minutes from London. The trip is worth it, but if you prefer to shop online, everything is online too!

You may never play as well as Tommy or Mike but there is one thing you can do as well as them. You can ENJOY your playing (no matter your skill level) as much as they do! So enjoy what you can do and continue to learn. Be blessed.

That Fields of Gold might have been the best acoustic song I have ever heard.

Two of the best guitarists I've heard.
Reminds me of the concerts years ago when Tommy used to tour with his brother Phil . Awesome .
"My name is Tony Enamel, and I'm a sensitive banjo player." Always the joker... 🤣🎸
Just saw Tommy in Fort Lauderdale and got to meet and talk with him. I was so blown away with his sheer joy and generosity. Changed my life!!

I can imagine. Tommy's attitude is every so humble. Just a great guy who happens to play the guitar virtuously, but that's not worth mentioning, if you'd ask Tommy, I'm sure. ☺

The best of one six stringer to another. There's no need for words, simply an exchange of music; beautiful.
Damn, I could listen to these two gentlemen orchestrating these instruments all days.
That was utterly fabulous! What a great couple of guys, such chemistry between them.
These two are such fun to watch. Whether through their notes or their words, they are great storytellers. And you gotta love their chemistry!
I couldn't stop listening. Beautiful.
Oh my GOD! This has to be some of the Music that sounds in heaven. What a duo!
Tommy & Mike ARE the perfect acoustic duo..they sound like perfection together and it is so fun to watch & listen to the beautiful mastery!!! 🎶🎶💪😎🎸🎶🎶
Art is how we decorate spaces. Music is how we decorate time.
It Cheers the soul to see Tommy Emmanuel so happy again.
Tommy's range of styles is 😮
I'm a musician and I'm a good guitar player. The quality of that performance is totaly out of this world! I listended both of you on different videos, I take some Tommy's lecons on Internet, but the chemistry of you two is beautifull. Love you guys 🙂

Beautiful ❤
As Mike said , Tommy can play anything . It's the exposure to different styles that let Tommy grow and let his accompliss grow as well. That fact that Tommy and Mike are both so skilled and aware of feelings allows them both to move in so many directions , even uncharted directions . I know that they are enjoying the exchange. We Agree!! haha
Their individual styles blend so perfectly, so sensitively, it seems almost criminal to be that good!
its unbelievable the amazing palette of sounds an acoustic guitar can project when played by gifted musicians. Most people only do basic chords or only use it to acompany themselves while singing. When you see this performance you start to get why the manufactures care so much for the selection of the woods, the strings quality, the sonority, all the engineering and craftmanship dedicated to a guitar is destined for perfomances like this.
The freedom of the jam and the essence of musical joy 👌
Turn the board ❤
Pure joy- this is beautiful! Thank you fellas! 😊
You are playing much better than original version
It's good that Mike lets Tommy take the lead. They mesh just fine.
Two of my favorite guitar players.
I’m literally counting the days to March 31st when I finally have the chance to hear them playing in Spoleto, 🇮🇹
i love to see when men loves their work...passion
What we really NEED, is an ALBUM.
It's a blast to see two accomplished masters bounce off each other so vibrantly. Dawes is clearly comfortable in the percussive/bass/rythym role, which I think must highlight his achievements as a solo artist. Tommy needs no encouragement to fly across the canvas that Dawes gives him. An amazing partnership.
Every time I see and hear Tommy Emmanuel I leave dazed and dazzled. He's a good example of the fact that there is no such thing as "The Greatest Guitarist". Just a bunch of people that bring their unique talents for us all to enjoy.
Saw these two geniuses playing in Denver last year - pure, ineffable beauty.
There are great players and then there's Tommy Emmanuel-- the God of great players
I could listen to these guys play all day!
If I hear banjos playing, I paddle faster. I know that. 😂 Love you, guys. Thank you! ✌️🎸🎶😊
I love Mike Dawes, fenomenal guitarist. But Every time I see him I can't help but see a young Howard Moon!

Saw both of these guys in Bend, Oregon late 2022. Then I ran into Tommy while he was in line to buy a muffin at SeaTac airport in late February. I was heading to Italy and he was headed to London "to be grandad" - which, it seems, was the same trip that this performance was filmed over. Super nice, down to earth. I almost asked for a photo with him, but decided not to be that guy, and instead just thanked him for being so inspiring. What a treat to meet the legend in person.
Yes Yes and Yes!! The greatest banjo player ever!! 😁
If you have any doubt about the natural sync these two are in here, watch the entire video again, paying attention to only their left legs.

We are going to see Tommy at The Opera House in Sydney, 22nd May. Can’t wait!
I love starting at 1:17 - 1:22 , Mike played a passing chord that added a different feel for Tommy and Mike's face was like "hmm that worked out!" Tommy looks over and responds with "yeah that was nice!" You can tell they truly love what they're doing, makes me smile.

It's amazing how these two never paint themselves into a corner when they are improvising, without getting out of it and never letting you know they were there.
Immense talent but the way you two have soo much fun together is on another level. Thats what makes it incredible.
The way Tommy makes his guitar purr with intention is so magical. Can't get enough of Mike or Tommy they are so far beyond what is considered great.

Couldn't agree more!
Fabulous - I have been lucky enough to see Tommy live in the UK 3 times - once, when I tried to get tickets for the Turner Sims hall in Southampton, I was told they were sold out and would I like to go on a list for any seats that might come up. I said yes but thinking nothing would come of it. I then got a phone call and was told I could get tickets in row AA. So went, really happy to get any seats. Imagine my surprise when I found that these seats were actually on the stage to one side!!! So, we were front row, on the stage and Tommy about 10 feet away!!!!! Beyond awesome!
That's it I am putting my electric back in the case and putting my acoustic back on the stand . Just to stare at it and imagine I could be as good as these two.❤
