An outgoing asexual and a pan person who hates everybody? You mean SpongeBob and Squidward? Yeah, they're still making that show.

If I had a nickel for every tumblr animation scam based on a popular text post I'd have 2 nickels, which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice.

The "outgoing" ace leaning over with their arms limp and a goofy, almost crazed, grin on their face is oh so very tumblr.

“The characters are described by nothing except their sexualities and the thinnest veneer of what could be called a personality. Perfect, this needs to be a show” never change tumblr.

I was yelling “Just make a webcomic” at the screen during the first bit. This didn’t need to be a series it would have worked perfectly well as a webcomic

The premise of "All or Nothing" probably would have worked better as a web comic.

The image of a few teenagers asking for a paltry $600 to buy a camera and make a small series is very cute. Them getting 10x their pledge goal and not having a bank account to hold it in is just adorable. I love this story. I think if they had said up front they were amateurs, people might have still donated to help some artsy kids and wouldn't have hounded them for the nothingburger it turned out to be.

Honestly the real criminal here is that family member who basically stole the donations. They were trusted by a child, and they betrayed that trust and that child. That money was not theirs to spend.

If the story about the loss of funds is true, I wonder which option is worse:

I feel kinda bad for the original person tbh. Like i thought she just took the money and ran. But a family member they trusted just stole it all. That must have been so horrible for them.

The idea of a girl recapping old internet history is so fun. Someone should make a sitcom about that.

The fact that you expose to the rest of the internet all this weird tumblr stuff without necessarily mocking the people who use the website is much appreciated

As an asexual, bojack horseman was absolutely amazing and eye opening. It taught so many people what it means and had good, accurate, and non-harmful representation.

I feel like every Tumblr-wants-to-make-it-real project has the same bingo card of downfall:
