There's something people need to understand while watching videos like this... The two artists are jamming out together, they are not trying to one up each other. Music is an expression and there is no right or wrong way to do it, there are no winners. Anything like a "drum off" or a "battle of the bands" is just a fancy way to market something. We have football and hockey to give us competitions. When it comes to music, it's about chilling out and enjoying the show

However, they show everything they are capable of. Just because it's jam doesn't mean they're equally good. They don't just have different styles - one of them is better. And who is better is obvious. I'm a big No Douth fan and I love what the drummer is doing there, but Baker is a monster. He's just better and it's not a matter of taste.

Travis is so energetic when it comes to drumming! Although he uses a lot of improv which is good. Travis is definitely one of my favorite drummers!

You can't beat Travis' combination of energy and precision. Even when he's seems like going totally out of control, he's actually in total control. I love him!!

Talent isn't always about how complicated and intricate the thing is. You need to know how to use silence and simplicity mixed with complexity to produce something amazing. Travis uses that and brings the excitement with it.

Still watching in 2023… I watch this like 4 times a year

one of Travis best gifts is that you could cut off the sound and still tell he rocking out, he puts a ton of heart into it. I can't judge on technical part, i don't know enough, but everything he does gets me going and watching him is never boring.

Travis will always be my drum hero but Adrian did a great role also.

Even though Adrian young had a pretty simplistic solo on those timbales ...the amount of groove, feel and flow is something you cannot teach

One of the best drum off I’ve ever seen!! Travis Barker was pure fkn 🔥!! He won hands down!!

Travis is underrated. He plays in blink 182 yes. But the guy is a natural talent. He can do a hell of a lot more than he shows. He’s a big influence on my drumming and I mainly listen to metal. I grew up on box car, blink and all of that. He’s an excellent performer. Give the guy his due. He is excellent at what he does.

I've literally heard people say he sucks because he doesn't double bass. I'd love to see him do it to shut people up. Lol he was sick in the boxcar album and blink 182's live album the mark Tom and Travis show

There's no winner here. Theres no way to pick a winner. They're both amazingly talented in their own regard, and they each have their own styles. I may prefer Adrian's style more, but I still recognize barker for the insane amount of chops the guy has

I'm not saying they aren't both talented. But you need to get your ears checked. I suppose you're right "nobody won" in that it literally wasn't a contest and no winner was chosen. But we all know who would have won if judges had to choose. Try listening to it without watching, and see who you think is more skilled.

I like Travis self-taught vibe and fact he's successful into developing something of his own style, so distintive yet really genius, and you the haters, so called yourself a pro and think you could play with better technic but end up sounds like everybody anywhere else. One thing I hate about drummer is when they has a privilage and all that stuff like attending drumming school then bitchin' other drummer who has the style like Travis does have. In the end, everything is about feeling and enjoyment, I respect 'bout theory tho but come on man, fuck that shit...

I played in the blue devils for 3 years and I learned so much in those years. I see a lot of that in his playing. He is surely not one of my favorite drummer but he didn't get to where he is now by just being okay. He loves his music and his instrument and that's cool in my book.

When is someone going to shame all the Barker fans by showing him vs. someone who can really solo like Tony Royster Jr.?

Javier Rodriguez if you think Travis can't hang with Tony then you don't know Travis's background. He is well versed in many styles and I'm quite confident that he would hold his own against any drummer it there. He is often just placed in a box because of the band he plays with.

I met Adrian Young the other day. He talked about how nervous he was to do a drum off with travis because Adrian has never done a drum sole before. he doesn't solo during shows like travis does....this is like his first solo ever!!

Sorry but there are plenty of good drummers in the punk scene like Jordan Burns from Strung Out, the drummer from Implants, a bunch of Japanese melodic punk drummers i listen to like Four Get Me A Nots, Dradnats, Hi Standard and many others, the drummer from Rejected Kids out if Indonesia and on and on, if you are talking about "punk" bands in this new mainstream wave then maybe yes but in the punk scene you don't hear in the radio no he's not vut he is a really good drummer
