Transgender woman brutally beaten to death outside Miami City Ballet
The man accused in the brutal beating death of a transgender woman in Miami Beach made his first appearance before a judge on Thursday as family members are seeking answers in her killing.
Gregory Fitzgerald Gibert, 53, is facing a second-degree murder charge in the killing of 37-year-old Andrea Dorias Dos Passos, whose body was found Tuesday near the Miami City Ballet.

you do understand prisons are limited and hold a finite amount of people right? politics and parties aside,a major reason people either get out early, or get off light etc, is to clear room for new people, who will then get the same treatment as those before. if everyone with the word felony on their papers was in prison....heh...who knows how many prisons etc we'd need. death sentence is a joke and mostly prolongs life.

@@DragonNectar he probably was too. i'm guessing the victim tried to sell his body prior to this incident, as you can tell the victim was homeless, slept outside, and was only trying to make money. that's why the perpetrator was so angry, confused, and beat him brutally to death after finding out he slept with a man. the description of his violent act was clearly personal.

I think it shows more what state you want this country to be in. Sure it is terrible but it is one case and there are hundreds of millions of people in this country so in what way does it represent the "state the country is in". There are atrocities and injustices happening that don't represent the majority of citizens in this nation. These atrocities and injustices like the example of this incident seam to be happening at a much higher rate, and not just in isolated places. There is nothing so far to say that that was the reason he was beaten. So far we have a man attacking another man while he slept. We don't know if it's random or if they even knew each other. They reported it in a way to lead to the conclusion that he killed him out of hate. But there is nothing in the evidence they gave to make that conclusion. And since it was not labeled a hate crime as of, yet it is irresponsible to think it was.

@alesia912 you're probably smart enough to know how complicated interfamilial relationships can be. Sometimes these complications can lead to someone being homeless, even one who is loved.

@@anthonymorris4211 i am smart and in my huge family nobody sleeps on the street. Its weird to let a family member sleep on the street then cry when theyre killed 😐 it doesnt take a genius to know its dangerous sleeping outside
