Great as long as you accept the fact that it would be the end of life last ever paint job on whatever vehicle it goes on. If you change your mind and want a normal smooth shiny paint job in the future it's a bare metal nightmare job to sort it so you'd better be sure it's what you want. (and anyone else, resale value could be shot to bits.) it is a quality product and if its texture you want then it's ideal.

I would to try that on a bicycle and see how awesome would look with that texture. Now there's a chance to customize it since its summer :)

I'm spraying mine next year hopefully was going to do it 2k but I'm loving the raptor tintable,I was wondering if it can go over glass ,yes I'm being lazy can't be bothered taking the rear window out and welding in a peice of sheet metal,great videos mate 👍👍👍👍

Personally I would give you U-pol a ring on that one they’re really approachable and they will find their number on Google really easy. I’m pretty sure if you scuffed the window up with a pad then you would be able to spray wrap the paint over the window but I’m not 100% sure Dafoe give them a call and please let me know it’s never a question we’ve been asked before but I would be really curious to know the answer sorry we couldn’t help anymore personally I just spray it and hope for the best

Great video… if I want to spray a Van do I need to prime the old paint first? Or is little sandpaper enough?

I kind of want to find something to use that stuff on just to try it. But I can't think of a thing that I could spray. Pretty sure Jessie won't let me spray his truck LOL. Oh and I love your VW shirt!!

Will it cover rust? Is it a rust preventative? Another excellent video, by the way. I've been looking at raptor paint for a while now, and while on the road I saw a van done in it, to me it looked awful but the more I look the more it lends itself to a all terrain kind of look.

Had to be changed out mate as the video dropped and it’s been changed again since that as well . One thing Iv learnt is changing your thumb after droping the vid cos you want it 1/10 for at least 48 hrs b

I would love to see a video how all your electric is hooked up for us begginers lol cuz I ent got a clue and I would love a tv in myn

It’s really simple to be honest but I will get a video done to explain .. but basically I have a leisure battery which is connected to my main battery with a split relay charger Aand also a solar charger as well . Off from that battery I have a fuse box then off from there it goes to lights and things that need power . Hope this helps but I will get a video out

I am totally sold on this... I will find something to apply some Raptor paint to. Maybe when I get the Jon boat going... hmmm...

@@UrbanVanlife Curious about this. Wouldn't the Raptor liners heavy texture inhibit the movement through the water in some way? I believe that most hulls of boats and kayaks are ultra smooth for this reason.

@@UrbanVanlife I have actually. Good point. It just seems counterintuitive. You know, same concept as waxing skis or snowboards, you'd think a smoother surface would have more glide.

I've seen videos of people using a roller to paint it on , have you used a roller with raptor on anything

it all depends on the equipment your use in mate , alll id say is do a test and raise the psi if you want it finer , id hate to give a psi and it be wrong , buts do a little test start off low and see how it goes . the black sprays finer than the tintable . remember that

I have a massive drive so for me it wasn’t a problem BUT with the weight of the product there is virtually no overspray I found . Plus Iv seen others do it at home and said the same . . As long as your careful and don’t do it in any wind I’d say you would be ok .

I have a 100 ltr one I bought from Aldi which is a cheap supermarket in the UK . If your not in the UK . It cost me about £80 to £100 I think but you can pick them up second hand . It’s just a basic compressor mate

Can I ask about heat I have a fiat ducato maxi ex mini bus (lots of windows) which hasnt been insulated before all cupboards were put in, so my question is do you find black paint makes your van hotter than if I go for an oliver green (I dont do white)

yes its much hotter with the paint on , also raptor dose help keep the heat in . im in the uk so overheating in vans ist really something we have much of a issue with . well not for me any way . but to answer the question its hotter

I think you nailed most questions 👍 do have a question regarding cleaning does it trap dirt especially if you used white colour with raptor. What methods have you found work best when washing the van. Cheers! 👍

Strangely enough with the raptor the van didn’t seem to get half as dirty as it did before . Don’t know why but it was washed less . And a jet wash and a brush dose the trick perfect mate

I wouldn’t think so no . The bumper spray is mainly for plastics . With your van being fiber it should go on perfect . Iv seen many box vans done and non have used the primer spray

Thinking of painting my bumpers, how long do you need to leave it to dry before putting them back on? Would 1 or 2 rattle cans do the job?

iv never used the rattle cans mate but raptor id kind of dry within an hr , i mean you could drive it

I am about to spray my van with raptor and I am a bit scared to mess it up. Did you try and fully cover the van on the first go, or did you do several coats?

we did the black stripes first , then masked it all up , and did the whole van in one go mate it took about 20 min in total , it goes on thick , and we only did 1 coat cos it covered so well

if you get the tintaable one then you can mix any paint in to it , that would be a better choice i think and get you the colour you want

Only one coat mate, but we did have 2 different colours on the van not just all one colour!

Can you put stickers on it?

What about concrete? Will it stick to concrete? Anyone have any extra spray to try it out on concrete? Also Im thinking about getting some 4x8 ply spraying it with raptor liner and using it as the floor inside my van.

Thanks for the info, I am about to start spraying our van, I am doing a two tone, Black on the bottom Rockers, White in the middle and Black on the roof. How long do you think I should wait in between sprays? I am worried about the tape lines damaging the liner.

yes you sure can , they recommend a specific kind of rollar on the raptor sight , but im sure you can get exactly the same on ebay or amazon

Raptor Paint reminds me of the new line of John Wayne toilet paper that's just been released, it's slogan states that "It's rough, it's tough, and it don't take 'shat' from Indians"
