Cheers mate! In days gone by we used these variable resitors at work to run big high volume blowers at low speed. They're pretty much redundant these days with cheap easy to control inline fans taking their place, hence the firm was happy to donate one to you. Take it easy, I'll catch up with you when all this calms down.
