I was at Makers central myself, first year with James Bruton playing with banana keyboards and second year on the Gorilla glue stand. I probably saw you there :) Just got myself a Gem fret saw that needs a bit of work so I'm re-watching this video for inspiration to do it up! Really nice to see this machine not just become a show piece and actually used, that's the plan with mine :)

Shame about this years makers central, getting better each year, possibly not your thing perhaps but the second video I did on petrol tank sealing using resin and vacuum chambers i got the idea from makers central. Was so looking to chatting to some resin craft chaps with a view to making a table, next year perhaps? As with all the items i restore like my Honda 1978 Chaly video series they are there to be used, cherished yes, but used. All the best, Cheers...

I sometimes look at old machinery at a steam fair or in KZread restorations or whatever and whilst I admire the blokes who have spent the time restoring them, I think it's a shame that they just get rolled out out as exhibits or used as garden ornaments. What a triumph this is though, sympathetically re-purposing a tool for the 21st century and getting your nipper interested at the same time. Well done mate! Hopefully catch you for a cup of tea soon.
