I've read this and heard this on many different occasions by different people, but this time I've found it very absorbable and palatable. Thank you for your dharma talk 🙏

In my experience it's easier to get in touch with 'it' by listening to where sound goes, you can sort of get a taste of the silence underneath. After there is some momentum of concentration it gets simpler to do it with the other sense doors, and sight is the hardest for me. What are your experiences?

I listened to his talk on difficult emotions on audio cassettes about 10 years ago. I remember being captivated by his voice; his intonation, the inflection, the nasal qualities. I listened many times. When I first saw him on YT, he was quite different from my mental image. 🔆

I am submerged in rage and grief and terror an panic. I'm so all alone, and all I feel is trauma and PTSD. I am abandoned and betrayed; discarded. Debilitating paralyzing panicked pain: My best friend abandoned and betrayed me. I am suicidal and despaired. Desperate. Breathless. Hyperventilating. However, in the midst of this, I've learned these lessons: - what him and I had: was an AMAZING BEAUTIFUL adventure! for whatever reason, it wasn't meant to last... I'm grateful though, to have had it for the 17-months, that we did. - everything happens gradually then suddenly... - children make everything about themselves, adults still do the same (very erroneous) - I'm better without him because I want TRUE LOVE, THE REAL THING. THE FULL MEAL DEAL. he's better without me because he wants 100% focus on his businesses and moving off-grid. ultimately, eventually: we'd just be in each other's way... - NO MORE: Victim mindset - NEVER talk shit about myself - stop comparing self to others, put self on a pedestal - stop taking shit personally, he has his wounds and traumas and insecurities, too! - standards and boundaries - inner child healing - prioritize self - be how you would be as a confident person - be in alignment

A friend turned on me a month ago too. I'm in the same place as you. It's a rough place to be. I'm doing ketamine therapy, and it is really helping. When you are too traumatized, it can be hard to do any meditation practice at all. I would suggest getting therapy - it is much better than meditation at resolving issues like this.

This goes deeper than I think most people can/will imagine. Although, hypothetically speaking, anyone "can". In fact, you already are. But, are you REALLY paying attention..?

@Shinzen Videos - yupyupyup looooong talks rock. Tell Shinzen that Los Angeles accepts his apology for not mentioning MacArthur Park in his many portrayals of "downtown L.A." as he very non-specifically referred to this town. Dude: Mac Arthur Park is magic. Ducks'n'paddleboats. I'm not your past calling, I just needed to clear the air (local joke) because the dumbest town on earth loves its internal combustion. Thank you Mister Shinzen. Shin Godzilla!
