You’d think once the allegations first began, they’d pull the episode off the air, not do it after a dumb documentary was released Like come on, films with Kevin Spacey don’t get banned, they stay. The Michael Jackson episode is one more reason I'm very sad to see physical media slowly disappear. I do own the Season 3 box set, and the great thing about that is that nobody will ever come knocking on my door to confiscate my DVDs because snowflakes suddenly decide that no one should ever be able to watch a certain episode again, or because of licensing or content distribution rights going awry or other BS reasons.

Brazil is very sensitive. Years ago during a match on a tour of Brazil Chris Jericho (who was playing a bad guy at the time) took a Brazilian flag threw it on the ground and kicked it. Brazil threaten to put him in jail and fine him (Police even took his passport when he got backstage) if he didn't apologize publicly. So he did and WWE suspended him for 30 days because the Brazilian government was still going to sue WWE.

From what I heard, India is probably the country with the most sensitivity on how it's portrayed. When Lucasfilm was out scouting locations for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, the Indianan government wanted to see the script and make changes that they deemed too inappropriate. When the told the filmmakers they couldn't use the word, "Maharaja", they were like, "Forget this!" and ended up shooting in Sri Lanka instead.

In Chile, the channel that broadcasted The Simpsons (Canal 13) was property of a catholic university (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile) until 2017. They censored episodes such as 'Pray Anything' (Homer sues the Church and then owns the temple) and 'Three Gays of the Condo' (because of course), along with several scenes such as that in 'The Frying Game' when Reverend Lovejoy confronts a catholic priest.

honestly with pulling the mj episode it was dumb to do, personally growing up with this show from the start way back in 89 some of us never really knew it was michael jackson in that episode to begin with... many years later tho and the internet we got more info about episodes in general, im honestly glad i still have my original dvd season 3 set as that episode granted isnt the greatest it doesnt feel good to watch the classic episodes without that episode, sadly tho right around my personal opinion season 10 is where they just wanted to be like south park... some say it was even earlier then that, the homer saying the f word cleaverly back in season 6 is where they say the show went downhill

Well they are not worse or better off than south park. No one should be immune from satire, because no one forces you to watch it

I don't think any of them should be banned. The series wouldn't make since and yes I'm aware I have consistency of TV shows

The scene wear Homer attacks the emperor of Japan was really disrespectful and that’s why that episode never aired in Japan

In my opinion Australia and Brazil are perhaps the countries the Simpsons mock the most

The cartridge family wasn’t banned it just wasn’t aired at a sensitive time, it was reaired, never banned , I remember watching it in the UK as a child so it wasn’t banned.

The problem that the simpsons got banned from other countries is because of homer and his carelessness if you wanna have a good vacation don't bring homer at all he brings nothing but disaster whenever he goes

What about "The Greatest Story Ever D'Ohed"? I'm pretty sure that both the Christian community and Israel were very unhappy with how the episode portrayed various sensitive issues

The most an actual Christian should do is say, "I don't care for that," then continue on with their day. It's not up to them to control the world (that's Catholicism). I don't know about Israel, so I can't comment about that.

Die Bart, Die makes no sense according to Sideshow Bob as it says: The Bart, The and it's technically, the wrong gender of "the", it's supposed to be Der Bart, Der if it was actually supposed to be German
