Holy hell, that song was possibly the worst music I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I like all genres of music-it simply was the fact that the song sounded like absolute noise and I couldn’t pick up on any melody whatsoever. The vocals didn’t go any better than the instrumentals either. That was utter horrific trash.

However, before she could go on her date with George, she was talking to Jerry in his apartment... and they finally got to an awkward pause. George was not happy to hear about that.

Lol I'm Iranian and I have to clarify that technically speaking almost ALL American TV shows are banned on Iranian national TVs aside from older movies that had little to no "sexual" content. So modern series / movies almost don't stand a chance at even being considered to be censored hahaha People watch everything through downloads, buying fake DVD, Bluray and/or using VPN for streaming services. The only channels that show western movies and series are western based Farsi channels like MBC Persia etc....

The morphine ban was the dumbest overall. But I'm surprised Singapore would ban a show that was a essentially wealth porn in a country that loves flaunting its class divide.

Fun fact: An episode of Peppa Pig was banned here in Australia because it showed Peppa picking up a spider in order to challenge her arachnophobia. Needless to say, parents here in Australia didn't really warm to the prospect of their kids thinking it was ok to handle spiders. I think it might have been something to do with the over 10 venomous spider species we have here in Australia?

Power Rangers being banned in New Zealand till recently is pretty hilarious since its filmed there. Then again, while Beast Morphers has been an improvement, their non Japanese/ original fight scene footage needs an overhaul. I know Koichi Sakamoto's stunt team is involved but minus some good fluid fight scenes every now and then, it'd be nice to have more consistently fasted pace fights. For all the flak it gets as a kids show, Power Rangers's hand to hand fights for the most part are even better than most bigger budgeted shows and movies, especially in the 2000s seasons.

Actually, the real "Japanese" pronunciation of 4 is よん (yon). And the one that is the same as the "die" (し) was originated in China. Nevertheless, modern Chinese has 4 tones, which makes “die” and “four” sounds slightly different. With that said 4 is still considered ominous in both cultures.

I heard it's because it gives off the idea of the "still lives off of mom and dad" lifestyle. I saw this in another watchmojo video.

I remember hearing that the Simpsons was briefly banned in China because they thought the characters were a negative portrayal of Chinese people due to everyone being yellow.

i live in Malaysia and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was aired in early 1998(maybe earlier) at TV2 when i was 6yo. Didn't know it was banned earlier because of the name Morphin. Back in 90s there is a lot of drug using among singer and star. Understandable it was banned even tho it was stupid. lol

The original Japanese sentai series that Power Rangers 'Americanized' were more serious and had better character development, and its level of action and violence was more than what MMPR ever showed. As Red China is Communist, their move is no surprise, ditto the response to the Borat character. Poking fun at religion is a rather valid reason for Malaysia'd response.

I watched Chojin Sentai Jetman and I love that moreso than Power Rangers. The characters do have more personality and were more fun to root for. Ryuu is better than Jason and his backstory is very tragic, Gai is even more awesome than Tommy (even though Gai is in the black costume, you can tell there's so much Tommy in that performance) and he's my favorite character. Even the other three have more personality than the Americanized version. And there's a love triangle surrounding Kaori, Gai, Ryuu, and a secret one with Raita (the yellow one who has sumo wrestling fighting techniques. Super cool). Japan knows how to make good stories!

Also, the Japanese - unlike the US for the most part- make sure their anime and sentai series have a solid story, and character development first. Sure there's still the merchandaise (ie: Toys, magazines, etc.), but there's still a solid story to tell and the characters are fleshed out as the series progresses, very few American cartoons do so.
