I guess the twilight one but Bryce Dallas Howard was pretty good in Jurassic world franchise.

Val Kilmer HATED wearing the Bat suit, he said it legitimately made him very depressed on set because of all the sensory deprivation

Val Kilmer was a difficult to work with back in the 90s. He was a pre-madonna back in those days.

At least Christopher Nolan hit the mark and the Dark Knight Trilogy was successful

Batman Forever is a guilty pleasure of mine, loved it as a child and love just how terrible it is as an adult. So bad it's good 👌🏽

did anyone even care about a made for TV home alone movie at that point that it'd be "controversial" it was a soft reboot of characters?

I applaud WatchMojo for mentioning Return to HalloweenTown but honestly you can't be mad at Sarah. In fact, she looks a lot like Mrs. Cromwell. I never needed a 4th installment into the Halloweentown, a trilogy is good enough. Plus there was no Reynolds the greatest part and grandma ever! KJB was smart to keep quality with her Halloweentown roles. KJB had her trilogy just as KP Kiersten Powers had hers. The powerhouse girls or DCOMs were awesome.

As much as I love Sara Paxton, I do detest the re-casting in Halloweentown 4. But again: I do think that Sara did a great job in the movie, my issue is with the re-casting per se.

One account is that Jodi objected to Hannibal's badguys-win ending, which got changed anyway. Another was just demanding what she's worth. Dino DeLaurentis balked at the paycheck he'd need to sign. His wife denied his alleged use of an expletive.

I wouldn't call Clooney donning the bat suit controversial, Kilmer replacing Keaton was. Batman and Robin was just a bad movie not a bad movie because Clooney was in

Great list! But I think Mads Mikkelsen replacing Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts is worth a mention! Especially because the controversy surrounding it, he was unfairly forced to step down because of the Amber Heard case despite evidence to support Johnny’s innocents! And with so many people threatening to boicut the franchise entirely It would not only be a great mention but also an important one imo! #justiceforjohnnydepp

I honestly had no idea the voice of Homer Simpson voiced the Genie in the sequel. I was a kid at that time, totally unaware

Lavender Brown was a background character with absolutely zero impact on even the tiniest part of the story until HBP. Most people had no idea she was even in the other movies. It was only noticed by people who are actively looking for something to complain about.

Also : Peter Weller not playing Robocop in Robocop 3 !

Being cast to replace someone like Robin Williams is a very unfair challenge.

Well, blame Jeffrey Katzenberg for breaking his promise he made to Robin that the promotional advertisement for Aladdin wouldn’t feature his name and character prominently.

The problem with filming a book series still being written is that you may not know which characters may become important in the future. Since she originally was a background character, Warner Brothers didn’t care about who they cast.

I remember back in 94 Return of Jafar was my favorite Aladdin movie but just for a little while ..to this day there's no Denying that Aladdin is the greatest of the trilogy and still one of my all time favorite movies or anything ever but King of Thieves was also pretty great and Return of Jafar isnt bad at all i just wish it was longer...i love Don Cheadle but i like Terrance Howard more it's too bad he didn't continue as Rhodes...Crispin Glover is crazy expecting so much as he was never a major star but i have respect for him not giving into money

I hope that Terrance Howard will appear in Doctor Strange I.T.M.O.M as a variant War Machine along side the rumored Tom Cruise Iron Man

Totally amazing video of recasting in movies watch mojo and fantastic job too. At least the one who play Victoria in the first two twilight movies did play as one of the main character in Stephen kings show under the down and it’s kind of funny that Sarah Pixton did play in a shark movie called shark night after return to Halloween town.

3. Everything in this movie just felt like it was on auto-pilot, these clearly AREN'T the same characters in design OR personality. The film itself just does, not, care.

Claudia Wells being replaced by Elisabeth Shue in Back to the Future as Jennifer Parker upset people.

It was so weird being a kid when Home Alone 3 came out, we wanted to hate it but it was actually good lol

If you think about it, George Clooney should have been one of the best Bruce Waynes ever. Rich, attractive playboy with a new girl on his arm at every charity event? He was living that life at the time. I blame the studio and Schumacher for that hot mess.

Glover was at that point a member of S.A.G. So that’s the reason I guess

I don’t know if anyone has seen Vampires Suck but I find the recasting joke funny. It’s a scene in the movie

Truthfully, I didn't see George Clooney as a bad Batman. In fact, I think he passed the Bruce Wayne persona more effectively than Keaton or Kilmer. The problem was absolutely everything else about that film including the portrayal of Batman, starting with the slick, nipple equiped costume and return to the Adam West cheesy atmosphere. Clooney, could actually have been a great Batman, but not with Schumacher

(see footnote) 1985A props: George is represented by a tombstone and his (Crispin Glover's) picture in an old newspaper. 1955 scenes: the big dance number is recreated and spliced together with footage from the original, including Crispin Glover. 1985 scenes/props: the old newspaper morphs to reflect that George is alive and prosperous. Near the end of the trilogy, far shots of the McFly family include Jeffrey Weissman in sunglasses and, at one point, behind a screen door iirc. Earlier story treatment: Marty's trip to the past in Part II (perhaps the business of catching Biff with the stolen book) would have placed him in 1965. We'd have seen how George & Lorraine take to the hippie movement. Anyway, it's controversial because learning the BTS stories will tempt you to take sides with Clover or Zemeckis. The main thing may be that they tried to get it by us, but instead it became a notable Hollywood legal battle. footnote: inverting faces made them surprisingly less recognizable in studies! See the 60 Minutes piece. Also got myself wondering what the pros & cons of casting a real 77-year-old for the future scenes might have been.

RIP Joel Schumacher... At least he apologized to all the Batman Fans and Batman Begins became a massive improvement.

Kirstie Alley was replaced as Mr. Spock’s protegee, Saavik, in Star Trek III & IV by Robin Curtis, which didn’t please fans of the original. Surprised she didn’t make the list.

April O'Neil, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. Yeah she was pretty, but there was a rapport with the original.

Not including the disrespect perpetrated against Matthew Lillard by Wanker Brothers is bad form. That should have been near the top of the list.

I remember when I was a kid and the 4th Halloweentown came out and they recast Marnie I was so mad, especially since they just did it and say a thing about it, they just thought we wouldn't notice because we were so young. We definitely all noticed right away lol. She was our Marnie and this was so awkward. Especially since it wasn't like the 2nd movie, they would've been better off just writing Marnie out
