Not even a mention of Ellie Williams, the fourteen year old who was orphaned at one day old, can start a fire, hunt for food, track, attack and kill someone twice her size (but only out of self defense), went against suicide even when she was infected will a killer illness because she wanted to help keep her best friend/girlfriend (also infected) happy, and can out run and hide any adult. Jodie from beyond two souls? The girl who stopped the world from literally blowing up, got pushed into the army, can easily fight off four people at a time, and lived with an entity attached to her from birth until the end of the game? Heck, even Max from life is strange was stronger than some of these people.

Oh I had mentioned Aya Brea I think. She has a 3rd game to. I also say Millenia from some old Dreamcast RPG game. Name I can't recall. Can also say to Virginia from Wild ARMS 3. Loved her tomboy to adulthood character growth of self. Not see that much of it to female characters in the same setting or even that way.

That wasn't even from Rise of the Tomb Raider, the newest game. Those scenes were from Tomb Raider from like 2013 I think? But yeah, I was wondering why they chose to only show the scene where she's screaming in pain rather than any of the number of badass action stuff she does throughout the game(s).

James Lising before I begin to see this video, I was assuming that the strongest one was bayonetta ( because I know how powerful she is! I play her games)but i forgot what this video was about when they reach to number 6 bayonetta! Samus better be on here. Back when the original Metroid was released, no one knew Samus was a woman so when she removed her suit at the end it was a nice surprise. She’s a badass character and even though in newer Metroid games Samus loses her suit as part of the game’s plot and not as an ending bonus after meeting certain conditions and that most people nowadays know of her gender it’s still cool

Chun Li and Bayonetta should've been in the top 5 and Clementine should be on the list but I'm glad that Samus is number one she definitely deserves the top spot

I agree Claire is the other heroine of the series and is the most grounded in the series. She wasn't some trained agent or soldier just a civilian with a will to survive looking for her brother.

I'm actually fine with this list especially having Lara at second and Zero at first but Sonya for mortal combat deserves at least a honorable mention if not a spot.

I always have thought number one is the original female protagonist of all continuous action/adventure games (And you didn't even know until the game was complete, so how 'bout dat?), none other than the Metroid Storyline's own Samus Aran, in all of her cold, methodical appearances!

I'm surprised, you listed street fighter but not tekken, wow. I don't think they haven't looked enough at video games with female characters

Not entirely sure if I agree with the order. Also feel that there were some others more suitable for this list. Case and point, how the hell is Zelda not on here? Yeah, Link needs to save her a lot, but she is POWERFUL, and is ultimately the one who defeats Ganondorf many times. Heck, in Breath Of The Wild, she kept Calamity Ganon confined by fighting him BY HERSELF for 100 years.

how's she 'strong' though, she's just Joker's lackey in the Arkham series...seem to recall Batman downing her in one or two hits when she actually attacks..I like the character, she's fun, but strong? She's a victim of Joker that he just casts aside intermittently. Besides that she's probably not here because she's more a batman character than a video game one.

How come Samus Aran always makes it to the of of these lists? I mean she's just a woman in a powersuit. All the honorable mentions would've been better. Seems like people are just copying each other's lists at this point.

Fell Man Samus was the first female leading role, can’t deny that. And, she is a one man army, she saved many planets all by herself!! She’s very powerful even without her suit. But, I guess she could be fine at number 2 or 3 though.
