As a son of a vietnam marine who i lived in bushes with ocasionaly growing up it defo does. His demons got him and mom did the smart thing for me and seperated i being young and his little minimarine didnt understand i said some hella hurtfull stuf to mom and she said fine i lived with him on the street of denver co in winter. The most help he got was that the local od knew he was an out on luck vet and left him alone. As i grew older i realised the only person that could save him in the state he was in was him. I tried to maintain a somewhat decent relationship so i wouldnt be saddled with the weight of anger towards him he did crack and meth till three days before his death when he was physicaly not able to (yes he did that shit in the nursing home watch your old folks they can get wild) he passed three years ago mothers day 12 hours after the plug was pulled like a true ass and soldier he fought till it was mothersday. About 5 minutes before passing he slipped the anesthesia and came to i was able to see his soul in his now once again blue eyes( drugs grayed em out) i told him i forgive him for anything and to let his problems go. Fmj was our movie he made make two promises when i was young 1. Dont let him die alone 2. Give him permision to pass. I told him he had permison to soldier on to the great beyond and he went. He was a complicated man who lobed his corp and country more thannthey loved him and for dude who was given a choice nam or prison thats somethin i remember him as a 10 ft tall giant that could fuck the world up nit what this country allowed him to fall to . I 💯% agree on that. What my Grandmother went through while she was pregnant with my Dad, by my Great Grandmother's Man( Gr Grandmother was married to him) and then my Grandmother's Official Husband and his consecutive 6 siblings was horrible. My Dad was one tough son. I just wish I could have met my Grandfather. From what I have been told by my Grandma and Great Aunts, he was a great man. The truth hurts, but if we do not learn our past, and tell our Children and Grand Children, we will perpetuate the hurt to continue. I’m British but I hear this loud and clear.. we see it and feel it too. It’s different but in many ways it’s not. The government is the government and they’re shitty no matter where you are. Hearing this message loud and clear though Tom.

This is so appropriate. These days information is streamed right into your brain via these phone devices. The algorithm tells you how to think, what to think, and who to hate.
