I am a retired Corrections Officer and I have dealt with many people with Mental Health issues. This is a great rendition of what it's like to go through withdrawals. The video enhances the experience and draws the observer right into it. It allows us to share your pain. It takes an artist to make another feel with your art. Much credit most go to you, and your PIC Nova. This is right up there with Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Damn it good to see high intelligence come pack to music. I love the follow ups "Let Me Go" and finally "Stronger Version". I have a couple of recommendations for you: Frank Zappa - "I am the Slime" and Harry Chapin - "There Only Was One Choice". Commented on this earlier but since then I've started therapy and learned about the damage from childhood I had and didn't realize how it created the "voices" he's portraying in this song. Anybody that's had any trauma in their past or present I encourage and pray you start your journey of healing today you won't regret it.

Its amazing how you and your music came into my life. I am a 42 year old custodian. While cleaning up a classroom this song came on my headphones while listening to pandora. As my name is Thomas as well, it really scared me, but also got my attention. as i sat down at a students desk i listened to the lyrics of this wonderful song. I played it over and over. During this time of my life, i was headed towards divorce, neglecting my kids and dealing with my own demon. Even after a year of week to week therapy, nothing was sticking till this song literaly called my name. Since that night, i have turned almost everything in my life around. I have even discussed your music in therapy and how it has changed my outlook on my situations. Thank you from one Thomas to another.

As a recovering addict i can affirm he nailed the demon aspect of the disease.

I never experienced it as a demon. I guess it depends on the culture you're raised in how you imagine/visualize what's going on in your mind.

I'm a 54 yr old wife and mother. Probably not the demographic he intended to reach, but this man's words are absolutely amazing. With a long history in Al-Anon and around the rooms of recovery, this song actually gave me chills. I've watched several of his videos and all have spoken to me. This one really felt personal. He is one I will absolutely encourage my teenage son to hear!

The concept has already been done, with the song called, "Hi Ren". I still like Tom MacDonald, but I do kind of worry that he copied that concept. Ren is the lead singer of the band called The Big Push. Very eclectic band from overseas.

My friend played mac lethal sucks the day it was put on you tube and I've listened to every single song since....and I def agree with you it seems every single song he does he is quite noticeably better and better...I have never seen anything like that for such a constant time spane by any type of musician in my life since I can remember hearing my dad play 70s 80s, and 90s rock n roll or my mom playing all type of music from all genres from the 80s & 90s. Cannot wait to see what next from him hahaha

He’s in a class of musicians like Upchurch, NF and others who are unapologetically themselves in everything they do without bowing to what people or the media want them to be.

You caught the whole point of this song's intention, it's Tom's gift to anyone who hears it, validation only really matters when it comes from yourself, I'm almost 50 now and I can count my true friends on one hand with room for another and im wealthy in that respect, 20 yrs ago I had far more money and "friends", a home I owned and a wife and kids, but pain sadness and loss are not only felt by fools, my point is your comment touched my heart, I wish you all the peace you can achieve... Keep the light on. Darkness can never keep out the light. Jesus will walk with her and carry her through all her troubles. Biggest issue is people thinking that they can some how reach a level of perfection when God clearly states we will never measure up. The battle will always be there but God is the only one that can simply say enough and release you of all the burdens. I'm no drunk but I pray to God almighty that if I could take any or all of your wife's pain and demons and help your battle im happy to do so. Got demons of my own and right now I'm kicking some ass myself. Stay in the fight. God bless.

I bet nobody has asked you that either... just don’t give up on her... your love is what’s pushing her thru it.... if it’s anything like my marriage she’s probably annoyed with you but she needs you more now than ever and she’s scared shitless of the future... reassure her... but also remind yourself how much value you have too.. how much she needs you right now... you’re her rock... her whole support line and support... you’re fighting her battle right along with her.. keep pushing it DOES get better I promise... coming from a marriage where we’re both addicts....

the song itself is REALLY good...but i'll admit some of the cinematography is quite cringey XD the voice should have been ENTIRELY out of frame to add that fear element instead of being just an aspect of himself, you could have had that as a subtle subtext instead of just thrown in your face with the cringey omen-like thematics.

I see this as a song about balancing your light and dark sides and keeping the bad side in check. Both sides agreed on the goal, but his dark side wanted him to take a different path. I caught that when he said, "I kicked the devil out, but it was you who let the demons in." So Powerful!!
