So you feel that instead of teaching my soon-to-be young men about a musician who is working in a positive manner to remove hate & race from the narrative that is our outlook on other humans & the way we interact, I should teach them about socialists, white supremacists & politicians that feel race & ethnicity are pertinent...to anything. I've interacted with many different people through my life. I grew up & started my adult life in SE Florida. I've worked clerical jobs in the medical field, in commercial customer service & I now own a small business where I am the sole employee. I'm not someone who feels labels & categories are any good to anyone. I'm a total "conspiracy theorist", as those who interact with me politically might say. I've never voted for any suit clad, old white man to rule over us. I feel I'm the master of myself & therefore free; I'm sure these 'leaders' of ours would disagree with that. I wouldn't assume that you should change your outlook on things to match mine but my opinion is the world would be better off if we all stopped looking at what someone looks like on the surface & started having conversations before deciding who a person is or if they're morally sound & kind. My boys will learn that first impressions are illusions & not to judge someone else for any reason. They're aware that you never really know someone until you actually know someone & that can take some time to establish. They know that it's best to treat others the same way they expect others to treat them. They know that sometimes it's better to smile & wave at those who wish to judge them before ever really knowing them. I think I'll stick with my ideas of which people are good role models for my boys rather than yours but I appreciate your input & concern.

My wife asked me why I keep listening to Tom's music on repeat. To which I must reply with the comparison between Tom and old school rappers like NWA, Tupac, etc. 'He actually has something to say. Just knowing the name and who Tom really is today. I've been listening to his track and I am afraid to say he is the best raper I've ever in respect in my entire life. I know I love Emi, LilWayne, Kendrick, Jay Cole and tory Lanez but there's something special in this Tom MacD that nobody on earth has ever give out. He sings no rubbish. I dont look it anymore. But I grew up on the poor side of town. Most of the guys I know that ended up looking like that had great moms. It was more of the school system and the crowds they were around that influenced them into actions. Once you go to jail or get addicted to anything it's hard to get started again. One of my old friends is experiencing that right now. That said there is usually only one parent in a decent amount of people's lives growing up. Edited in: Nothing wrong with how anyone looks. Everyone gets to have their own style. It demonstrates our freedom we all have.
