Good on you for doing that, wish more people could do so. My family did similar, we got fed up with public schools. With help we built a homeschooling house with large field, playground an pool. All for my family's kids, our cousins kids and our friends kids. The set up is the best of both worlds, a smaller sized class, more one on one teacher time if anyone is struggling in a subject. All the while still haveing the opportunity to interact and work together with outher kids. We hired an amazing teacher with similar values to help with the classes. An a big surprise was when my little cousin who we were told he's learning impaired only to find after the first month of our school and getting the one on one help he needed, he opened up an excelled in reading/writing. Like I said, I wish folks could do the same because public schools and colleges are just a joke.

I don't think Tom could have described "The System" any better. Love his music ! Screw the music industry!

It's amazing...my daughter turns 14 in a few months. When my wife was pregnant with her just those few short years ago, what Tom is talking about were the worries that were there, but WAY down the list. Now that she is entering her most socially and world view shaping years, me, my wife, and her are bombarded by these issues EVERY FUCKING DAY!!! I remember when I was growing up that my biggest concerns were that at least one of my friends were free to ride bikes, playing sports, and which girl might like me enough to be my girlfriend. Luckily, by the Grace of God, so far the values, experiences and life lessons that we've poured into my daughter are sticking, but for how long? I still do remember the years of awkwardness, wanting to fit in, and peer pressure. THANK GOD both me and my wife were instilled with, and had the strength to make our own decisions and carve our own paths. But, this world is much different than the late 70s & early 80s, but, it is still a world of good and evil, and darkness and light, with one big exception...the gray areas and shadows have been expanded to be a very enticing place for the evil, the weak, and for those who unfortunately have had no one to teach them to live. We've all heard the phrase-"I weep for my lost childhood".... Naw man, I weep for my lost childhood that I wish my daughter could have experienced!!! Parents, NEVER STOP FIGHTING, NEVER STOP TALKING, NEVER STOP LISTENING, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...NEVER, EVER, EVER STOP TEACHING our young ones!!! They are more exposed, aware, abused daily by what their eyes see and what their ears hear than our generation could've ever imagined and probably handled! To Tom, keep talking about what you see, hear, and gets under your skin! You have a HUGE platform, and UNLIKE the vast majority, I feel like you ultimately use it for good. Thank you my man!!!

Greetings from germany I feel ya comment, had to listen it multiple times too, this song is simply truth on a geniusly level, and the sad fact is that the system seems to be everywhere more or less the same :/ Another sad fact, i have to listen to Tom (but love his courage & musical style) because there is simply no other artist worldewide on his level. Rappers here are just some other drug addict (like those rappers who he mention on Dear Rappers, Blame the rappers, etc.. ) who care more about their checks then their message :/ .. But thats just another reason to promote Tom worldewide, i still think if everyone would get his message the world would be much better.
