Beethoven once referred to the guitar as "the little orchestra," which is certainly possible in the right hands...and he definitely possesses those. One of the best listeners/players I've ever seen.

Words don’t do this justice. I heard every instrument and every word. The creativity, attention to detail and seemingly effortless talent is truly remarkable. He has also showcased how brilliant the piece of music by Floyd really is.

I have been listening to this song for the better part of my life. It's my birthday song, the first thing I listen to as the clock passes midnight. This is the first song my son heard. I have never heard anyone capture the essence of this song, as you did here. You've captured every damn nuance of this song just beautifully. Thanks for sharing this with the rest of us plebs.

@@mokaryn naaah he's more insane than animenz, animenz is great but there's pianists above him, and he didn't invent a new way to play the instrument like Kent did. Also his most difficult piece is his unravel and it had a lot of great covers, as for Kent we have yet to hear someone cover one of his songs and not sound like shit.

Now I am officially impressed

It’s otherworldly. I’m running out of superlatives for this guy and when the words “Time”, “Pink Floyd” and “Kent Nishimura” appeared on my screen, I exclaimed “OH YES!” out loud. It’s an event for me now when Kent puts a new track up.

This guy has a whole band in his head but only two hands and he is still able to make the whole "band" sound out. Wonderful.

I follow all the best fingerstyle players that make covers and this guy is absolutely the best, in every version he made. I bow down.

This guy is a creator and his tool is his guitar. The real genius, though, is his musical soul.

Yep!!! I'll go with that! I keep telling people he's not old enough at 18 to be this good! It takes 40+ years to get to this level!!!! I've been playing for right at 40 and I'm not even half way there with people telling me all the time how amazingly talented I am. That musical soul you speak of is probably around 180 or more!!!!

I’ve been playing guitar for 36 years and have seen some pretty awesome guitar ideas. This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. The metronome with the fingernails was epic, but he just took a bunch of pretty basic techniques and combined them into the best idea ever.

Wow just wow. I've been playing guitar for 20 years and absolutely love pink Floyd. This is the most amazing performance I've ever seen of any song. Wonderful!

Kent, you master, you’ve done it again. Pink Floyd is no easy task, and to get it with such tight intonation and masterful fidelity is a remarkable accomplishment at any age, let alone 17. I’m blown away by you every single time. I hope that you will stay humble as your talent takes you places... humility will protect you from a lot of what the most talented people go through, and I genuinely hope that in 20 years time I will still hear your name and marvel at what you’ve accomplished.

Unbelievable!!! You may be the greatest guitarist ever, in history. I play and sing this song and have done so with a band with excellent musicians. Kent, you do on a single guitar (overlayed), what it takes 4 musicians to perform. I am continually amazed at your ability to do the entire arrangement. Non-musicians appreciate your talent, but probably not as much as musicians do. Thank you for your dedication to your art.

Floyd is one of those bands that, if you're not Floyd, you shouldn't be covering Floyd. But not you my friend. That was an amazing rendition. Time is my all-time favorite song. It's a perfect tune from start to finish, and i dislike every alternate version I've ever heard.... this is the exception. Well done man, we'll done indeed.

@Asao Kinoshita I couldn't agree with you more! I have a family full of musicians and one member is a classically trained pianist. My only issue with their playing is they refuse to let go and just play! You know? They could be so much better and greater than they are but they're afraid to let loose. Ken does not have this problem. I'm a latina female sax player, I have no issues letting loose. Now if the police would just let me be, I'll be off the table and out of Olive Garden in a jiffy!

Playing a Pink Floyd song on an Acoustic guitar, especially one that has one of the greatest solos ever written in the history of rock and roll, and then to bend those strings on the 19th fret to pitch on an “Acoustic”... Sitting here with goosebumps running up and down my arms and neck listening to this- I can't even come up with the proper adjective to describe how lush, how beautiful, how utterly perfect this is.

And then I had to listen to this for the third "TIME" in less than 3 hours of it's release with my eyes closed. Been a " guitarist" 39 years, but this performance is definitely top top tier. And I mean way way top!

prodigious ! Magnificent ! definition of music awareness, there's a lot of adjectives that come to my mind when i listen to this but from all , virtuoso is the one ... a pleasure to watch !

Already considered Dark Side of the Moon a masterpiece and one of my personal all time favorite albums. But this arrangement just makes me appreciate Pink Floyd all the more. The melody isn't flashing but it's beautiful; same with the percussion. Just emotional, banging, mellow, smooth, exciting... so much in just a few minutes. Thank you, Nishimura, for this incredible arrangement.

This is amazing. So often I am disappointed by covers of "Time" because I cherish every note of this song, but this is not only such an imaginative use of the guitar, it's exceptionally technical and a pleasure to listen to.
