    Those numbers are super impressive. Almost 600 wheel at 18psi? on a dynapack? with a blower? on a four cylinder? That is unbelievable, I have been seeing a bunch of crazy numbers come off of anything with a 4piston head on it. Not to take away from the rest of the build, I'm just trying to make sense of this. I was watching a video on humble performance channel they have a customer b series with a 4piston on something like 8lbs making high 4's burnt the clutch out before they could breathe on it. simply nuts great work bud keep it up./

    Yeah that's because 4piston is building the best K heads you can find right now. They really just do good work. Really want to get head work done from them at some point hopefully.

    When I was boosted with the kraftwerks kit on my 8th gen civic si, I did a pcv valve delete and collected all the blow by running a catch between the valve cover and air intake arm... This person has the pcv valve connected to intake manifold and is collecting from the valve cover.... Is it not better if your boosted to have the pcv deleted from the intake manifold so you get more pressure built up inside the intake manifold...or does it not really matter lol..

  • @john-martin

    @john-martin

    6 жыл бұрын

    you both have it wrong. step 1 keep the PCV valve, it has a one way check valve in it to allow crank case vacuum from idle -25hg to 0 psi and also so boost pressure cannot be forced into the engine from that connection while under boost. (remember crank case pressure is caused by air getting past the piston rings and in/ex seals) step 2 continue by connecting 3/8 line/s from the valve cover to a catch can and from the catch can to between the turbo filter and the turbo inlet creating crank case vacuum from 0-80+ psi. so by doing this will mean you’ll have crankcase vacuum while at idle and also crank case vacuum while under full boost. the catch can will prevent oil from being sucked into the turbo while under boost, allowing clean negative crank case pressure. this is a story of having your cake and eating it too.

    In his K series check list video Jeff spoke about running no larger than the TSX cam because the timing chain tension just gets beat up too much for daily driving purposes. If you're racing you definitely would want to keep some spare tensioners close by and if you planned to daily a K with non OEM cams you would probably want to change out the tensioner at a certain interval normally.

  • @ShadesWade

    @ShadesWade

    6 жыл бұрын

    yeah Billy i've watched the k-series tuning checklist multiple times for multiple reasons. what im getting at though is its a drop in cam for k20a2 or k24a2 and if im planning to daily them , i would definitely upgrade the timing chain and tensioner to something that can hold up against milder cams. safe you think? drag cartel is pretty og...

    didn't they go to a bigger SC this year? I mean I understand its hotter, but making less power with a bigger SC even with the hotter conditions doesn't really make sense... or are they running less boost or something?
