Honda/Acura messed up big time by letting this car die. The DC chassis is still one of the best out there. The Integra needs to make a come back

The DC2R was amazing. The last time I was on the track was a Kswapped DC2R. Still I cannot give Honda/Acura a break on this. They should have, and still could, given us a true successor to the DC2R and have chosen not to

To my knowledge, wouldn't a rear wing on a fwd car help with stability? Considering it has a bigger and stiffer roll bar in the rear. Hence the inside rear wheel coming off the ground during turning. I vaguely remember seeing this old video of a EK9 on a track and the driver demonstrating how the car handled with and without the rear wing. The car was a lot less consistent and the driver seemed to be having a hard time controlling the car. Also considering that in that video the EK9 had around 250hp compared to the 500 this DC2 has

Such stupid way of thinking. Just because a 500hp purpose built race car has a wing doesn't mean your FF daily driver requires a wing. THAT is where the the sentiment comes from. For a street car, I would be more concerned of the front lifting at highway speeds. Putting a big-ass, off the shelf (i.e., cosmetic) wing likely hurts more than it helps. Engineering functional aero is not a simple thing. The primary purpose of a rear wing is to balance the front aero. The entire package is dependent on the vehicle's downforce requirements for a particular track...

Damn guys , it's just a tip . Even though I never been on a track , it helps me via engine braking , allowing me to stop faster . Meaning braking later at corners . Idk how it is with a turbo car tho since I use a b16 all motor , so I can see what you mean about it not being easy , but it's very good to practice and master . Specially in daily driving when someone is brake happy in front of you

    I wish it was a b18c5 not a k24. Everyone keeps swapping k24s.

Yea it’s sad but it’s undeniable. B series motors are so incredibly expensive and hard to find now. They are also quite weak compared to these 2.4 liter monsters. The displacement gap and the value gap is just too big now.

Why does a fwd car has a spoiler? isnt make it worst?

because fwd cars dont have much weight at the back so the back tends to be unstable at high speed (depends how you set the rears wheels - toe in, out or parallel) using a spoiler creates down force at the back and pushes the rear down. The spoiler and the diffuser working in harmony can create a lot of downforce which helps the back end to be a lot stable and to give good grip

On a racecar running 255 width A7s in the front and 225 width at the back, and heavy forward weight bias, this thing probably has a lot of lift-throttle oversteer under trail braking, hence the need for rear aero grip. This car is dialed in. No rice to be found here.

Aero on a fwd car works just like a rwd car.
