Timber Framed Barn Part 16 The Frames Are Done

This week we pushed on getting more timber lifted in place. Everything is going to plan and my groin strain is currently holding strong.
On Monday I will mill 18 more floor joist and get the last floor in. once that is in we can finish the top plates and then its on to installing the trusses. Enjoy the video.

My word!! That’s going to be one sturdy building! People will be trying to decipher your building techniques hundreds of years from now. You absolutely must sign it and date it in some prominent place, along with those who helped you build it. Your buildings will be a fine legacy if you never do anything else. And we KNOW you’ll do countless other cool things. Cheering you on from across the pond in Tennessee.❤️🤗🐝

Your mum hasn't seen it since.... Don't worry mate. your mum will be so very, very proud of you and more than impressed with what you've accomplished. As a 55 year old male and parent/grandparent and permaculture "farmer", I can tell you that what you have done since moving from London in ill-health, what you have accomplished so far is very admirable indeed. You are a man who has earned, and deserves a great deal of respect. You are indeed a true and "real" MAN! Even you were my son, I couldn't be more proud of you, what you have have achieved and who you are developing into (i.e. You 2.0 +...). Don't worry about what you mum will think, but put that energy and thought, into the quality of the time you do get to spend with her. You, young man, are indeed, "Worthy"..., as it were. Now..., I would like to mention again, that you and Dot, would find; "Permaculture: A designers manual; by Bill Mollison, would be the best investment you may ever make. Using the principles and methods of Permaculture, your land will be the most bountiful property in Wales with the least amount of maintenance work as well as making it a haven for wild-life. You have a really good start, but this could easily put it way over the top and make your dreams for the land and the local wildlife come true times ten. I want to see you have such abundant food that you have to give it away. Peace, Love and Light my friend!!!

Amazing job Kris, not many would have the patience or courage to take on a project like this and without cutting corners like using brackets and bolts … good job 👍

This is a thing of beauty and I'm enjoying every episode so far, I can't click quick enough when I see a new video has been posted! I always do enjoy watching your projects come into fruition and the greenhouse has been my favourite so far as I love the woodworking but this is looking like being my new favourite as the craftsmanship that's gone into every aspect of this build is top notch! Thanks for entertaining us, Kris it is very much appreciated! 👍👍 p.s. I hope your mother finds good health soon! ❤❤
