This was actually the first time I'd ever seen or heard of Devon Larratt. This video actually got me interested in armwrestling and brought a lot of publicity to the sport.

Fun Fact: Thor's dad used to be the Icelandic national armwrestling Championand without training and beat Jujimufu when Juji was in Iceland.

I believe it was this video that started me down the rabbit hole of arm wrestling. My thought at the time was "how is it possible that a world's strongest man-winner can be beaten so easily?" I was fan of the sport from that point on.

Davon dragged Thor into his swamp. I remember that Davon said in one of his videos or on Juji channel that strengths is tightly coupled to size. In this video Davon is about 2x smaller than Thor: shoulders, biceps, forearm. But how easy it was for him to win.

Devon just keeps making the moves to promote the sport of arm wrestling. I swear to God, nobody is out there making the moves that he's doing. Eddie Hall vs Thor, high profile boxing match in the fitness world. And somehow Devon manages to jump in as the replacement. Sure as hell, he'll once again be bringing loads of eyes on the arm wrestling world from the outside. This dude is on another level when it comes to promoting the sport. Respect for that if anything

I mean I've learned a lot from you, mostly what _not_ to do, but that isn't where the benefit lies in connecting with you. It's your philosophy. The way you approach life, the things you say to us, the things you don't say and let us connect the dots. It all factors in to a thinking person's worldview, and I'm happy to say that you're a significant contributor to mine. I've applied your practice rationale to my interpersonal relationships: I lay bare my weaknesses that they can become strong enough to hold up those around me. The principle of charity, I've woven into all of my discussions and meaningful interactions. One of the most important things I've learned from you, I'm not sure if you've ever explicitly said: Recognize the burden of giving advice. You tend to be reticent to advise anyone on anything that isn't explicitly within your expertise, and even then, you choose your words very carefully. Humanity needs next level thinkers if we're ever going to evolve as a species, and it takes one to know one.

*I can’t wait to see Devon’s jab!* He’s had combat training, and I think all these years of using his body to create torque and rotate power from his legs, to torso, to arm, will definitely translate to turning your body into your punches in boxing. Thor’s improved heaps, and I sincerely hope he continues to win to ensure we get to see Thor vs. Eddie. I want Devon to do well, but I do hope Thor wins, and who knows, maybe goes on to do boxing.

This was the video that got me into arm wrestling, I went down the rabbit hole of trying to find out just HOW someone could be that strong in that particular movement. 2 years later here I am. Not sure about staying strong but definitely loving arm wrestling.

the original upload that has over 20 million views by now was pretty much the spark that blew up armwrestling on youtube. back then i had no idea whatsoever who devon was, i knew hafthor from game of thrones, that's it. so all in all, without devon, armwrestling might have never made it to the mainstream. a combination of the hype of game of thrones and this video made the sport so big. it's crazy how people actually now enjoy watching something they didn't even know much about 5 years ago.

Devon larret, the more I look into this man the respect just grows, espn painted him as the bad guy in my country. He's really a humble down to earth dude with the will to win. Arm wrestling wouldn't be what it is without larret keeping his finger on the pulse, respect. Ps. Used to watch wal back in the day hoping someone would beat him! 1st to hold titles for both arms simultaneously (post-op) at world class level, rather mind blowing.

The boxningsmatch gonna be in August 2021 if i remember correcty... gonna be a war. Think Eddie is more mentally strong and also has more experience boxing but it can go either way. Thor seems to take the challange serious also.
