Matt, thank you very much for this edited version. Yes, it did go exactly as I thought. I could not figure out why all of a sudden people started jumping on Devon's bandwagon. For me it was clear from the moment the match was announced that Devon would get crushed. After what Levan demonstrated against Dave Chaffee, that point was made very soundly. It was a mystery to me as why so many others could not see the obvious…..

2nd best Arm wrestler on the planet ain't bad. Levan is just a different animal. No embarrassment for the loss.

Rewatching this after their rematch in 2024 and Levan still wiped the floor with Devon, despite only training for 4-5 months post-injury while Devon had 1+ years to train.

Devon is nothing but a drama queen. Don’t let his bullshit fool you. All he really cares about is getting attention. Most all of his matches he acts like a clown at the table. He insults the refs and the competitors. He tries to cheat the grip every time. His level of shit-talking pre match, post match and during is adolescent to say the least. He didn’t mean a word of what he said to Levan. He just wanted one last bit of attention before he handed his hammer over. Don’t ever think that it isn’t ALL ABOUT HIM, it is!

Devon is the main reason I got into arm wrestling. He has really boosted the sport very competitive but also humble. That's what it's all about

The fact Devon got injured just for attempting to stop Levan's hit speaks volumes of his insane strength level. Devon has had long tug of wars with some of the best and strongest pullers in the world, but I've never seen him suffer an injury on the table like that.

before the match devon was assuming that levan an easy opponent...his doing light training there is no good preparation...instead of heavy training his doing a lot of trash talking. not only a loss he suffer injury as well.

@@shaunkelly7223 Agreed. Devon already pushed himself to the absolute limit for the match in terms of both training and PEDs. The guy we saw that night against Levan was the strongest version of Devon, and I doubt he'll ever be able to go beyond that at his age.

Devon has a great sportsmanship and a wonderful spirit. He’s humble and a legend. After so many years of success, there’s always someone who would come along to take the place of the legend.
